  1. Went to the Browns vs. Saints preseason game last night, first Browns game I've been to in about 25 years (this is my first year living in NE Ohio since 1994). Was a fun evening, beautiful weather on Lake Erie in downtown Cleveland. The Browns won, hopeful for a better season than last year.
  2. Interesting that they are bringing back the 'Pro Modeler' label...
  3. I have one in my HLJ private warehouse, but haven't shipped it yet.
  4. The local shops already went out of business before I moved here, there is really nothing that I've found within a 30-45 min drive...even in a relatively large metro area. It's hard to beat ordering online and having it delivered right to the door. Model Roundup, Tower Hobbies, Hobby Link Japan and eBay have everything I'd want as far as kits...
  5. Last time the Honcho was out was 1995-ish, IIRC...it was reissued in an 80s-style box, everything molded in black. I built that issue.
  6. Makes sense they would release the roadster as a modified reissue rather than a straight reissue, more likely it will sell better this way rather than the same ol', same ol'.
  7. Yeah, my Jeep didn't have one when I bought it in Phoenix...had to get a plate bracket installed when I got my Ohio plates.
  8. I see..the decal with the backing intact (or other reinforcement), not the decal by itself...makes sense.
  9. That wouldn't look good, since the decal would hang below the bumper if placed in the correct spot...would look weird having a decal stuck directly to the bumper and hanging down. it needs a proper plate and bracket. A plate-free bumper would look weird IMO on this car, since the offside license plate was such a '70s detail, esp. in two plate states...I'll make my own plate and bracket, just seems odd Revell would include decals but no plate.
  10. Looks like they still forgot to include a front license plate (need something to put the plate decal on).
  11. Yeah, roof and decklid are probably about the only carryover panels..'76-77 body sides are smoothed out compared to the '73-75...
  12. No. Though there have been resin NASCAR stock car bodies of Cutlasses of that era (and die cast stock cars).
  13. From the photo, it appears the Bronco has added flares, different wheels and different tires..and presumably the decals for a Bill Stroppe Baja Bronco.. I'm interested in the GMC (never had the original High Roller), Jeep pickup and '85 442. With the 29 Ford, it looks like they have combined various parts of the '29 roadster and '30 coupe to do a new variation...
  14. The GMC High Roller (and the new reissue pictured on the flyer above) is a fleet side, like the snow plow truck kit. IIRC, only the Monogram Chevy 4x4 pickup had the step side bed. Would nice to see the Chevy step side and LUV High Roller reissued eventually also.
  15. Never had one of the High Roller kits---different wheels, bigger tires and presumably suspension from the 4x4 w/ snow plow version I assume...I remember seeing the High Roller kits in the stores as a kid in the early 80s...
  16. Yeah, looks like someone did some Photoshop magic on a nearly 40 yr old box art photo...
  17. The GMC looks a lot like the old High Roller version... never had that one.
  18. I have the Modelhaus '62 GMC grill & hood somewhere stashed away, I think it was made to fit the '60s vintage AMT Chevy annual pickup. I do plan to use the parts on a modern tool AMT '60 Chevy, but it will require tweaking to fit.
  19. Saw a rusty XJ Cherokee covered in mud, though up close it wasn't clear if it was actually mud splattered from off-roading or it was painted on....
  20. The AMT is one I had forgotten about until the 1st reissue back in the early '00s. Never had one until then. It is a decent kit.
  21. Alas, that would require some retooling as the original MPC annual was modified into the '76, then the '77...
  22. All my photos from my phone are synced to iCloud. But for posting to forums, I sometimes put them in my Fotki account. But mostly I just post photos to Facebook.
  23. The ones with the T-Tops are MPC-origin kits. After the ERTL acquisition of MPC, the MPC annual Camaro was rebranded as an AMT for 89-92 annual releases. Same with the MPC 3rd gen Firebird. The AMT '83 was essentially a one-off from '83 (there was a race car version also).
  24. Remember, when these were originally tooled AMT and MPC were separate companies... the ERTL acquisition of MPC didn't happen until 1987-1988. The AMT and MPC '83 Camaros are unrelated. However, from 1989-1992 the former MPC tool (released as MPC annuals from '82-88) was released as updated annuals labeled as AMT (Starting in 1989, current MPC tools were reboxed under the AMT name--the MPC name basically was shelved until the Round 2 era). The AMT tool '83 Camaro was never updated.
