Hi guys. I'm gonna be popping in now and again to see how you guys go about constructing you Ford Probes and to see whats new on the scene. I'm no stanger to plastic, resin or white metal kits of all types and have been around models since 1973. My speciality was UK buses and undertook commissions for many years. Before I go any further i'm from South Wales UK, so I'm not English guys! (God forbid lol!)
I now concentrate on 1:24th scale Ford kits and the Ford Probe in particular. Basicly, i'm looking out for progress on the amtErtl series one Probe and was hoping to find out weather there will ever be a series two Probe produced in any large scale form. Back in the UK, I am a member of the UKPOC (United Kingdom Probe Owners Club), and I am one of the tech guru's and drive a leccy blue 24V. I am currently building a series one and several small matchbox series two for my fellow members, but we are all fustrated by the lack of series two models, so we make do with what we can find.
There are only a few series one road worthy Probes in the UK, as the vast majority are series two cars. So where are the series two models? There is an enormous market for the series two in 1:24th and 1:43rd scale in the UK. If anyone can help me out with any info on series two model Probe, please get back to me .
My friend in the States, Jairus Watson, has sent me an IMSA version, which I have just finished, plus I have a series two dragster jelly mould to start when I get the inspiration! Recently I have come across a clay blank of a 1:24th scale series two Probe; does anyone have any info on that? I'm still working my way around the forum, so I hope I post this in the right place!
