Well, congratulations! Keep the momentum going. I just (finally) got instructions to my old BSA Lightning Rocket kit for the old 66 kit. I can't wait to break into it.

Very nice build and paint job. I agree with Peter. The blue looks great and is an excellent choice for any Vette. I'm still waiting to build a 67 in Marina Blue.

Beautiful work you've done there. I love the paint combo and the rims look realistic. Keep it up.

I really like the work you did on the drop. It has just the right look. One thing I noticed from the first photo (and I'm sure that it is just because it was mocked up)is that the body line isn't lined up with the line on the bed. I like the bed wood and weathering too. What kit is the IFS parts from?

Like you I haven't checked in here in a while. I see you found the 61 Impala wagon drawing. I do like that one and may have to build it soon. I've still got to get all of my others finished first.
I'll be back.

Wow! What a beautiful color. Is that over a gray primer? it's gonna look good.

That looks good. Two questions? Does it have a "Necker Knob" on the steering wheel and where did you get the wheel covers?

Well, it may be in the wrong section but I like it. How did you ever come up with a combo like that? I can't wait to see more.

That HAS to be the best job I've ever seen done on that kit. The paint is so slick and I like those graphics.

That does look like some nice work. Where did you get the wheels and tires? I'll keep an eye on the progress of this one. I always like your paint jobs. I expect this one will be just as nice.

Thanks for the reply. I've got some Tamiya Fine and Finish polish that I'm going to try. I'll probably end up using all of both tubes since it's that HUGE 1/8 scale.
Those wheels look really good on 60's Fords too, like the 65-67 Galaxies.

Nice build so far. Beautiful paint work and, you're right, this is quite a forgotten kit. I really liked it when it csme out but never got one. You don't see it built very often. Looking good.

Nice job, Peter. Much better than the box art. I like the decal in the rear window and the interior shot.

That Chevy is looking great. What did you use to polish the body? I am rebuilding a 1/8 32 Ford roadster that my cousin built years ago. Doing it for him. I will have to polish the body too instead of painting. Are you interested in trading off those wheels and tires from your 57 kit? I'd like to get a set of them.

This is going to look cool. I love the turbo plumbing so far. Good to see that you are going with the 29. Any parts that you are still looking for?

That's looking beautiful so far. I like the wheel skirt and side trim. I can't wait to see the paint job finished.

Me too. I'll check out your site.

Those are both nice looking models. My older brother and I got a couple of these one year from our grandparents. Can't remember what they were now. Too many years ago. But I've been thinking about picking up a couple to try again. Yours is making me want to also. They look great.

I agree. This should be another great project from you. I like the work that you've done already, especially opening the hood vents.
I, too, was not impressed with the box art of the ACR kit. It'll be nice to see how your customizing will improve that.

That turned out great. As has been said, I think you captured the drawing very well. The stance is perfect. Congrats. There are so many of his drawings that are worthy of a build. I'm glad this project came along. I'm still not half done on mine, but it's coming along.
Again, Nice job.

Cool build. Don't see that every day. What kit is it from?

Sweet build. I love it!

Randy,
That chop and section looks great to me, with the exception of the windshield. It looks too small. Think about raising the top of the windshield to match the height of the top of the side windows. That's what I did to my Monogram 55 Ford pickup and it made a lot of difference. If you'd like to see a photo of it first, PM me and I'll show you. Great job though so far and that must have been quite a chore.

That is a cool color combo. You've done a great job on it. I'll have to do my interior in white now!

His work looks very impressive. I'd like to see some close ups of the rest of those builds. Very nice, and creative, indeed.
