That is the decal I'm sending you. Also sending the PORSCHE decal that I believe goes across the back and a small one that says Turbo. I seriously doubt that you'll be able to re-use any decals. I've never heard of anyone doing it.
There are many articles on this site about stripping paint and what best to use. However, since you sprayed it black it may take some time. Black seems to be the hardest to strip. If there are any other parts you need let me know. I have a spares kit of that Porsche that I've been pulling parts from. I know that you wanted to get this done by Father's day, but I'll be out of town for a week starting tomorrow.

Your build is looking great. The stance and wheels are perfect. I, too, used that Bright Platinum on my 70 1/2 Camaro. It had the brightest and best shimmer and offered a nice contrast to the maroon that I used for stripes. Here is a couple pics of it:

A friend wants me to build a 1/16 scale replica of one of these. He says that he has the kit. All that I have been able to find in 1/16 is a 79. Anybody know of a 77-78 in 1/16? Also, I found some reference photos of a nice 1:1. www.pontiacpower.net/spotlight0802.html
Anyone have any other detail shots? I plan to try to contact Keith Marks about doing decals for it.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm not sure about how I'm going to do the side scoops yet. I've been mulling over a couple of options but I'm not sure yet which is best. That's why I haven't started them yet. I have some personal studying to do and a gate to build in my field (in the rain)today and then I hope to get some more time to work on the kit tonight. Should be some more progress shots soon. Plus, I go back out of town Sunday to work for a week. I'm taking it with me again.

Superb is right! Now that is detail work. I love the engine detail and especially the shot of the dipstick. Either that's a 1/25 scale dipstick or those are some HUGE fingers. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful build you've made there. There is a woman in town here who drives one, but her's isn't in as nice a shape as your build. They sure don't make them like that anymore.

While in the hotel I also worked on lowering the front suspension. This merely required adding "lowering blocks" to raise the front suspension or axle.
The work is rather crude, but effective.
I would have placed the wheel/tire into place for this shot but I need to remove the posts from the rear of the wheels so that they will fit into the fender well. The rear suspension isn't going to be so easy. It's going to require more "technical" adjusting. LOL!
Not a lot of progress but remember, I was out of town to WORK!

Well, I'm back and like I said, I got some time in the hotel to work on the VW. First I cut a hole in the roof to attach the F1 air intake.
Due to the curve of the Beetle top I had to cut the air intake into two pieces to change the curve. I cut a pie shape from the lower half and re-glued it at an angle to follow the curve of the Beetle roof.

After looking at the drawing it appears that the air intake comes to a point at the top. The intake from the F1 had a flat, or rounded off top. i added some scrap plastic to the top of the intake to build it up to a point. This area still needs to be completed.
I spent a little time since I've been home sanding the area but there is still much to be done on the air intake. I'm going to build a tunnel on the inside of the body that will enclose the intake and lead to the engine compartment. There won't be a rear window.

Nice job on the kit. I thought that the paint was just plain ol' silver till i got to the last pic. Fantastic paint! So, answer a stupid question, please. What is the purpose of the camber on the rear wheels?

Those look great! Nice paint work and details on both. The only suggestion is to have sanded the mold lines off of the drag slicks on the Nova.

I'm not into the military stuff due to my religious beliefs, however, this is a very nicely done Jeep. Having built the Daisy Jeep years ago I appreciate the work you did on it to convert it. Looks very realistic.

Well, they were a version that I wasn't aware of. And interesting, at that.
As for the kit that my friend has. He says that he's not sure what it is, but that it is larger than 1/24 and smaller than 1/12. He also decided that He is going to do the build. I suggested that he scrap the kit he has and get a 1/24 or 1/25. He says that it may come to that. Either way, I'm off of the hook. If I could convince someone to make the decals I'd do one in 1/24 or 1/25 for myself.
