  1. I am looking for a person who can cast me some resin tires that are soft. made out of something like Urethane. I can send you the tire itself, and can pay(not much at first) or trade. I got a couple things left but not much. I am looking to get a couple sets made, and want to mess around with them. If anyone can do something like that, please let me know. We can haggle over the details via PM.

  2. yup I kept watching this thread as it went along. just had some issues at home ( as always) lol and was not online a lot. The only thing I could add to make it just a bit better, is a bed cover. Hinge it like the hood but in reverse and I think it would set it apart from the crowd just a bit more. I am very happy that this model actually got someone to enjoy building it.

  3. This is a great product (untested) and you will see a ton of builds using 1/24 bodies. There is also a set of aluminum axles being made by RC4WD and are about 52mm wide. (again not mass produced yet and things could change). I am going to pick one of these crawlers up and make a Dakota or an s10. I already have a build in the works of a 84 crew cab dually.

  4. Ben, you do have a PM.

And what I mean when I say simulator is just a rim, but I would mount it maybe in the aluminum rim like a simulator on a 1:1.

Does anyone know anything about these?

And I was reading somewhere that there is a diecast from matchbox that was labeled 1:18th but it was actually 1:24. Anyone know anything about it?

  5. Ben,

here is all I could find about afx: www.afxnscaleresin.150m.com

Since there are really no good looking rims or the rims are not the size (depth) I am looking for this is what I am thinking about doing. The project I have in mind are these rims

Now the rims and tires are going on a 1/24 scale project and I think I have figured out how to make these into a dually rear. I am now thinking I would need like a simulator type cover for the front and rear. That way I could hide the aluminum rims and it would still look like a correct dually. So out of the options are there any that are simulated dually rims?

The 1/32 semi wheels seem they would be too big, but I love that build ROS

There was actually a site I came across but I can't find it now. A guy made some dually resin rims just for the so real tires but it said he had his shop closed for a bit.
