  1. T.H.E. Cat '67 Vette. Was once available as an AMT kit but that's long extinct and way collectible. But it shouldn't be too hard to kitbash with modern available stuff. In fact, there was an article on how to build it in one of the old-school model car rags before the kit came out.

LOVED that show. Robert Loggia in a cat burglar show with a gypsy theme.

  2. The clunky windshield frame is one of the worst parts to me. I'd cut away the upper portions of the frame and carefully paint very thin chrome around the upper edges of the glass, with a proper curve on the corners; there may be an aftermarket DuVal windshield frame that is more accurate. (Use the box art photo of the real car as a guide.)  Note that the step plate on the rockers should go down much further than molded. I have never seen even the best build of this kit where the hood fits flush, so test fitting and sanding are critical. One problem that really can't be conquered is that the grille part is too vertical and doesn't lean back enough, but that's no big deal. If you can conquer the windshield and the hood fit, this can look great.

  3. My copy was delivered this morning. I immediately wrote a review. I'm not patronizing here. The book is a legitimate must have for automobile fans and aficionados everywhere ... oh yeah, modelers too

To hold Harry's collection in one hand offers an amazinga glimpse of his passion and skill ... the book design is elegant and the stories are well written and every page will entertain everybody on this site and probably everyone they know ...

Bravo Harry ... and thank you!

My thoughts exactly. It's wonderful to have Harry's Greatest Hits in one compendium. I'm looking forward to Volume II.

  4. Actually, it's 1:25. The wire wheels are okay, but hard to find better replacements. For those interested in the kit, note that it's the 2nd generation fuel-injected GTi version, though many owners reverted to the Weber carb version. Not a tremendously accurate kit, but the only game in town, and this is as good a box-stock build as you'll find anywhere – just excellent.

  5. Nice clean build. I didn't even know that that car was ever kited.

Also in 1:16 scale by Entex and boxed by others. Usually expensive.
