Just be patient. Along with many other scale models that show up online, you'll soon see it on Facebook for $59.99. But you'll never see it in your mailbox.

I had one. As the instructions show, it came with a tube you blew in to, sending air under the car to levitate it. Fun for about 5 minutes.

I think the issue stems from Wikipedia, where that exact photo has the following written under it:
Manufacturer Fiat Production 1966–1973 Assembly Rivalta, Turin (1966–69)
Maranello, Modena (1969–73)Designer Filippo Sapino at Pininfarina (Spider)
Giorgetto Giugiaro at Bertone (Coupé)[1]If you click on the Wikipedia photo, it takes you to the original source, which identifies it as a 1968 model. Pull up "more details" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_Dino#/media/File:Fiat_Dino_reg_1968_1987_cc.JPG

The only quibble I have with this otherwise excellent kit is the windshield shape, which is too sharp in the upper corners. Same issue with their 1/16 version. Italeri also mistakenly used the roadster as a base for their Gullwing; the 1:1 bodies are different, with the roadster having more pronounced fenders and a larger grille (also passed on to their 1/16).

Excellent. You really did your homework.

When a 13-second lead is nullified to become a one-lap, equal position drag race, I question the fairness.

Great work. I had a 1:1 '59 Giulietta Spider Veloce, and I wonder why the red model has a convertible boot -- no need for one, since the top folds entirely behind the seats over the spare tire. The blue kit is correct.

Wow. Did you have to cut the metal on the sides of the hood for the mesh? If so, how did you do it?

Hmmmph. I Googled variations on Porsche 356 4-door and it didn't show up. On the other hand, the hubcaps should have revealed a Studebaker connection.

WOW! Extraordinary craftsmanship and fine, authentic detail. Best one I've seen, and I've researched every nut and bolt of the Gullwing.

Outstanding build, fantastic color combination and great photography to boot. Agreed that the 300sl is one of the nicest kits Tamiya has ever produced. It's beautifully detailed without being fiddly, which is a difficult balance to strike on a complicated car like the Merc. I built mine with RMCM Rudge wheels and the dark blue plaid interior over silver blue back when the kit first came out. Thanks for sharing!
I'd love to see pix of this one.

I don't think anyone will complain if you post the rules with every quiz.

Also issued as a 1:8 Pocher kit. Maybe their instructions would be a good reference.

Actually, I can send you the whole pdf manual if you send me your e-mail address. It's 14 MB, but it got through on a test I made.

Has anybody built the 1/16 Bandai/Entex XJ-S? The body looks pretty good to me, though the US headlights are a little sloppy.

The only reason I found it was to infer that it was electric, based on the background.

Same old messed-up kit. Note that the water tank is incorrectly mounted at the radiator; should be at the firewall next to the windshield washer tank. Looks like they've added proper engine decals, though.
