  1. Agreed.....and I have the 1/12 kit....but really want more 24th versions to display with other 34th Porsche's.
  2. K&S offers a tube bending tool set that works OK. I've just gone to inserting plastic sprue into the aluminum tube and bending by hand. Works well fior me.
  3. I'll pick up a few........that body style ran NASCAR Cup series.......may have to build one.
  4. Others have reported the AMT/MPC Daytona kit. Going Friday myself to see.....
  5. Nice work!!! Always thought it was better than the yellow car.
  6. PM and I'll send info.....thx
  7. Correct......A decent tool too.......I sent this to R2 saying it would be a cool kit....... Dirty Mary.....
  8. I think the model kit dump goes back many years......... I pulled a sealed Monogram 1987 NASCAR Thunderbird combo kit (2 Birds in one box) with a Ollie's $6.99 sticker on it. Not sure when I bought it but had to be 15-18 years ago.,,,,,or mire......
  9. Horrible on every level...prayers to all.
  10. Yep....been looking hard...no luck for any in my price range.
  11. PLEASE Tamiya....reissue this kit!!!! INDYCALS makes some great decals for it.
  12. Got my kit today. Looks like it will be a good size vehicle when done.
  13. R2/AMT will reissue only a few of the showrod type kits a year. There are a few more that CAN be reissued but it will be 2020 before we see them. A few of the vintage kits are gone forever and retooling them would not get the needed ROI.....but there are still others we have yet to see.
  14. Across the board there are more Cuda and Cougars on the market than AMC's in general.
  15. I went SAT and found a 55 Vette, Dodge Fever pick up and 37 Ford conv.....but that's all they had.
  16. Nice neat work!!!!
  17. Yep....got on my desk top wide BIG screen and noticed the tail light panel. Thx
  18. What is that NuNu kit that looks like a IMSA Vette....or something??? Like the Mazda 3 wheel truck.
  19. I've picked up clearance kits on the model isle, clearance section, odd end cap and center gondola anywhere in the store they please. I', lucky there are HL stores near each of my kids and my brothers.....all operate different and laid out different.
  20. Licensing procedure can run from super easy to the most costly and difficult part of making something. When we had a company in Charlotte that made NASCAR related items MOST of our time was spent on licensing. Some were simple hand shake, other were just a PAIN!!! I've done it in the plastic kit biz too.......the stories I could tell. Personalities come into much of it...and who and what you know. Goodyear started out easy. A product sample and $25 a year with signed release. Then someone at Goodyear decided they could make Harley Davidson money off licensing. That's when Goodyear came off all Revel Monogram kits....they wanted $$$ for EACH item manufactured.
  21. When that kit came out it was like Christmas!!! With just a little work I was able to build a Lil Mixer.....long before it was ever reissued. LOTS of bonus goodies in that box!! A little more work and I was able to make a Lil Yeller too......
  22. I thought I answered it well.....directing him to one of the best custom printers AND offering personal help too. Just because we talked a little racing is OK with him I bet.
  23. PRETTY work!!! inspire me any ways!
  24. Call me bias if you want.......... But the AMC pony car is the last hold out for a modern kit. ALL other ponies have a modern kit....many in 1/24 and 1/.25. I did a little R&D for a proposed AMC pony car but it was cancelled before it got very far. A new tool Javelin could be tooled to include all models 68 to 74. WB is the same for all, same windshield/A pillars, same door skins etc. So you could tool one year, get some sales, add inserts for another year until you cover them all. And much of the tooling could bee shared with the 2 seat AMX version later. If only I was in charge!!!! I'll supply the 1/1 for 2nd gen Javelin
  25. Nice work!!! I just finished this kit too.....I think the kit is very under rated.....builds very well.
