  1. Maybe he will hear when the process server knocks? "Notice from the law firm of "Dewey, Ficksum & Howe"..." On the other hand... This is very likely a feature of the IPB bb which Gregg has no control over and probably no prior knowledge of... Richard
  2. I find my off road race car in there too! I built it, I won a Championship with it, I still own it, I took the picture with my camera, I scanned it, and I uploaded it from my harddrive. I also find the avatars of several others I have seen on this forum and other forums. I agree with you guys! Those are our own images and should never be shared! That is a violation of our copyrights!!! ... and just downright WRONG!!!! GREGG!!!!!
  3. Great job Ismael! One of my all-time favorite race cars...And since race cars are by far my preference over non-racers...well, you get the picture! ... And that brings us to the point of commenting that your photos are excellent too! The lighting, depth of field, composition...all are shaming my efforts. All the pieces you made for this are very well done and scale-correct. I will now look forward to other works by you. Richard
  4. Hey John! As a guy who was around SCCA racing when Trans AM was in it's heyday, and as one who has professionally restored a Penske Javelin TransAm Champion car...I really like your take on the new Camaro! As an interesting tie-in to this deal...A young lady on my block has just graduated from UCLA. Her boyfriend spent this last summer working as an intern at GM working on the new Camaro!!
  5. Hi kids, Just joined up for the duration...oh, wrong speech...uhhh I'm 50 years old. Married 24 years with a 12 year old son. I've been building models since 1960, when I built a 59 Corvette kit. I think it was Revell. There are still a couple of fragments of it floating around my parts boxes. Last November, I went to a model club meeting (IAAPM) at the shop where I bought that 1st kit, AutoBooks in Burbank. I grew up around car racing, road racing in particular, but also hot rods and dry lakes and Midgets and... I raced motorcycles in the desert and raced a buggy off road. I won a championship with that. I have been a race car shop owner and fabricator doing cars from Trans Am champions to museum restorations of Sprint cars and Midgets, to Baja 1000 winning off road racers, to hot rods, to... In the 1980s, seeing a magazine article by Jairus Watson featuring his amazing Mustang convertible with incredible working features helped draw me back into building models. I am currently a member of several model related forums and groups, including: GPMA (gpma@yahoogroups.com), DRM (Desert_Racing_Modelers@yahoogroups.com), MaD (modelsanddioramas@yahoogroups.com), Competition Plastic (CompetitionPlastic@yahoogroups.com), Open Wheel Models (open-wheel-models@yahoogroups.com), Model Car List (modelcarlist@yahoogroups.com) and more.
