  1. Thanks. hoping I get to stand next to a real one someday..
  2. I thought the red lip would be a nice contrast to the rest of the exterior being all black. Got the idea from the TV show muscle car. They did a hemi cuda that had red painted lips on black rims. I made the stupid mistake of painting before thinking..... Originally I was going make a 3 tone seat. grey on the headrest a thin red strip under it and then black. But I realized that since its my first build I should take it easy. So I was just going to paint the interior black. Then I decided that 2 tone would be doable and somewhat easy. Thanks for the advise on the 2-tone. Will probally strip it all and repaint it.
  3. Thats an outstanding start. I like the golden colored wheels. Reminds me of a gt350 with gold rally stripes.
  4. Hello all. I am getting back into modeling after about a 15 year break. I came in about 2 weeks ago and said hi in the general area. Now I am getting deep into getting this model built. Well without further ado here are a couple of pics of my progress.. My First coat of paint on the body. I figured since I was going with a red and black theme for this car I would paint the rims as well.. First coat and first try and a 2 tone paint job. Hope it turns out. Any tips or tricks or constructive criticism please pass em along. I can use all the help I can get.
  5. Thats great looking. I like the master cylinder. Its very nice. I like the color you picked for the body as well. Good Job..
  6. Well I finally got to get some paint laid down. On my first model in 15 years. I don't have my airbrush yet so I am working only with brushes and the enamels that I have. Hopefully my airbrush shoes up before the weekend so that I can get a few coats down on the body. Let me know what you guys think..
  7. Thanks for the warm welcome folks.... Hopefully I can get the seats painted tonight if the humidity holds off and get some pictures posted.
  8. Hello folks. I am trying to get back into the hobby after about 15 years. The last time I built models I was a teenager. My first project back is going to be a 2009 Dodge Challenger kit from Revell. I am prepping the body, bumpers and hood this week. Hopefully I will be able to get my first coat of primer on by Wednesday if the post office can get it delivered by then and get my first coat of paint on by the weekend. Wish me luck. If any of you wise folks have anything to share please shoot it my way.
