  1. Hi well here is 1 of the 3 new projects that I have started it is a 55 chevy nomad amt kit that my dads freind chuck builtand he gave it to me he said the paint was a mix of orange and red anyways not all the parts are there but saying I have 3 junker kits I have the parts needed well my local model car club is having a cbp ( comunity project build) for pick ups the guys where saying it was alright if we took the roof off of a car and converted it to a pick up well I had a coupel of parts not used from one of the junkiers and in there was parts to male the nomad a pick up and also the instructions that show how to do it so choped off the roof and glued the roof on and primed it and just finshed putting putty on it anyways I am going to paint it the same color as I am painting the 57 nomad I posted here is a pic of how it looked before i took it apart pics of it as a pickup coming soon anyways thanks for looking Travis l
  2. hi well sorry for not posting in a long time. just been busy with school this whole 2 months. here is my latest project that i just got today from my local model car club. it is a revell 57 chevy nomad hot rod kit. paid $10 for it. this kit is crazy detailed. i just finshed talking apart the first step of the motor since the block was started to find that the block actualy has the crank shaft molded in it. also opeing doors, hood and trunk and hatch are an amazing detail too this one will be painted blue with silver trim and also the inteior will be a brown or dark red stole the headers out of the amt 55 chevy belair kit and also the tires and rims from the amt (either a 67,68 or69)camaro anyways tons of flash and mold lines to remove but its worth the doing to build this detailed kit anyways here some pictures thanks for looking travis l

  18. hi well the 57 chevy was shut down cause my silver paint is starting to wrinkel up when left out to long and i had to leave it open when doing the details and it screwed up so i thought i would start this ( not like this is any better you will see in the picture) it's a 2004 pontiac gto by amt got it in a four pack at wal*mart here when they sold plastic model kits i started it a year ago but then put it away cause i liked the older cars better but thought i would try something new for a change i screwed up BAD!!!!! I MEAN BAD!!!!!!!!!! on the paint job i primerd, wetsanded and all that and i was painting the door handels and my hand sliped it got on the door so this never happend to me before so i painted over top of it and it starts to wrinkel up so i primer it and it made it worse so i sanded from 8 pm till 9 a hour of sanding and now it;s ready for a shot of new primer and paint and clear coat all because i wanted to do a good job on this project and not leave a littel silver mark that was barely notcibal on the door haha already had my bad paint days heres some pictures i finaly got the camara to work the motor will be repainted haha thats when i was sort of crapy at painting i still am but not as bad after it's sanded Tomorrow supost to be nice out so will try and get it painted and take pics comments are aloud bad, good, tips, tricks anything thanks for looking travis l
