  1. The Golden Eagles Cherokee Chiefs are cool too! If I do another full size Jeep it will be that one.
  2. I like it! It looks like a tough 4 x 4!
  3. I think they are the same wheel base. I have pictures of that yellow one too, that's how I got the idea to use the rhino grill.
  4. Thanks! Your Cherokee looks like one I saw on ebay in the last few years.
  5. That interior is really cool! Nice job so far!
  6. This is my next project, a full size Jeep Cherokee Chief two door. I got the Wagoneer body from RMR and I'm converting it to the two door Cherokee version. I ordered the kit with the 1960's rhino grill which is cool looking (I will be replacing the cast-in headlights with Jeep CJ lights). Also I will be adding the fender flares from the Jeep Honcho donor body. My plan is for the Jeep to look like the red one below. I have already found a website with a picture of the Cherokee Chief stripes so I will be able to make decals of the stripes.
  7. Great paint!!!
  8. I lived in Shrewsbury and went to college in Amherst. I miss the summers on the Cape but not the winters. My Dad used to take our motorhome to a garage in Berlin but I'm not sure if it was Wheeler's. Dan
  9. Thanks! If you have a really good picture of the car you can create the woodgrain decals although the resizing takes awhile. The picture I used for my woodgrain decals was 15 years old so the details aren't as sharp as I would have liked.
  10. Thanks! RMR has the wrap-around taillight version too. This is a picture of it.
  11. I really like this, great job!
  12. That's a cool project! The old boat motor is cool to see.
  13. Thanks! I grew up in Western and Central Massachusetts.
  14. I installed my woodgrain decals and some other decals this weekend. Next up is to build the roof rack.
  15. The wood looks great!! I'll be watching this one.
  16. Here is my lifted Dakota 4 x 4.
  17. Here is a quick update, I decided to try indoor pictures this time. I got all the chrome painted and finished the grill. The grill isn't as accurate as I wanted but for my limited modelling abilities it's close. Also I started to detail some of the under hood areas. Next up I want to finish the interior and windows so then I can just concentrate on the outside details.
  18. Thanks! I used a picture of the Grand Wagoneer I had for the woodgrain. I had to do some stretching to get the door seams to match up with the panels. I used the Microsoft paint program.
  19. Thanks! The Honcho is a J-10, the body has the J-10 logo. I've found several of these kits on ebay. From my experience Revell made at least 3 kits, a red Jeep Honcho Dude #7319, a black Jeep Honcho #7313 and one called Pink Poison #85-2146.
  20. Here is an update on my progress on the Grand Wagoneer. I've painted the body with Jeep dark blue metallic and clear coated it. The conversion of the grill to the later model is almoast complete, I just need to add the black areas of the grill openings. The dash & steering wheel have been modified to the later model and painted, I'm planning on repainting the dash because I'm not happy with how it looks. I've been working on the woodgrain decals, the test print is shown. Next up is installation of the all the chrome around the windows, I'm not sure if I will use paint or chrome foil since I've never used chrome foil before. After that I need to make the black rubber bumper parts, hitch, windows and decals of the license plates. Here are some pictures of my progress.
  21. Sweet Jeeps! I really like the CJ!
  22. I like those wheels & tires, they look really cool!
  23. Great job so far! I can't wait to see it finished.
  24. Great job! The detailing is incredible! So cool!
  25. Thanks! It was my first time converting a model. I guess they did get the window opening off.
