  1. Impressive detailing, everything looks spot-on! David G.
  2. I've gone in and reedited the old photos to hopefully make them a bit more eye friendly and uploaded them to the topic once again. This should be the last time I have to rescue this topic from the PhotoBucket Monster. Regards, David G.

  6. Hey Everybody! I was doing a final detail painting check before I went on to darkening the panel lines and I discovered that I missed a few details on the rear deck lid. I kind of missed the third brake light. In my mind, I knew it was there but I wasn't sure how it was represented. But the flat black vents on either side of the rear window and the pair of black vents on the rear deck lid? Yeah, totally missed them. This car is just full of all sorts of "hidden" details. So here is the quick mask and shoot rescue plan. Mask... Shoot... Score! I'll brush paint those side vents in the next session. Thanks for checking in! David G.
  7. Still watching, still impressed! David G.
  8. Fabulous work on those! I attended the Star Trek Experience exhibit when it was in Phoenix in 2009 and from what I remember, many of the props you made based on the older TV shows and movies seem more detailed than the originals. Many of which were just sculpted blocks of foam rubber or cast resin with some detail painting. Of course there were more detailed props with LED effects and working features but most were just simple props. I thought I was a Trek fan but your fandom goes way beyond where I am. Again, "props" to you on your props (sorry, just couldn't resist the pun). David G.
  9. Beautiful paintwork, excellent engine bay and interior detailing, all around top notch. David G.
  10. Thank you Atin, I appreciate your comment. David G.
  11. Fabulous work on the seats! David G.
  12. Thank you for sharing your story John, I found it very touching. As a Funeral Director, there are many times I've had the honor of helping families memorialize a loved one who was lost suddenly and tragically. Your mother did the right thing, no question. Thanks again for sharing your story. David G.
  13. Wow, I hope you can get this to work out for you. David G.
  14. Looks like you're off to a decent start but for the paint issues. I can sympathize as whenever I have trouble with something, chances are, it's paint related. David G.
  15. Interesting project. I'm curious to see where you take this one. David G.
  16. With it cleaned up and painted, the disproportions become very evident. You did a wonderful job making it as presentable as it could be made. Great work! David G.
  17. Too Cool! I love Steam Punk and Retro Future stuff. David G.
  18. Groovy! What a wonderful repurposing of military equipment. I could see something like this used by a private beach club in a surfing tournament. David G.
  19. Beautiful work! Nice engine detail and the color looks perfect for that era. David G.
  20. Dang, that's a pretty shade of blue! Great work on the interior too. David G.

    69 Impala

Nice work on that. That color is very close to one of the popular Chevy colors of that era. David G.
