  5. Unbelievable work on the eyes! You've really captured a powerful intensity in them. David G.
  6. Smooth and Deadly! David G.
  7. Hello Everybody. After color sanding and another coat, here's the final shot on the purple. This photo shows the color much more accurately. Incidentally, not a bad color for a '49 Merc. It would have to be purple and gray though. Thanks, David G.
  8. Good call on the aerial. Lately I've been using 17ga guitar string. It's pretty easy to cut and fairly flexible to allow for those occasional inadvertent contacts. David G.
  9. Nice progress on this. I wouldn't worry about the rake, it's like the owner swapped in a V8 and didn't change the front coils. David G.
  10. I agree, spectacular work on this! Worthy of a museum diorama. David G.
  11. The detail work on this is mind-blowing, you're certainly doing this kit justice. David G.
  12. Sweet body mods! I also love the way you shoehorned the engine in there. David G.
  13. Nice work on the speaker deck. If you're taking a vote on the wheel selection, I'll throw mine in with the the slotted style wheels. David G.
  14. Thanks Ricky. I like Spiderman too but it seems that he never really had to drive anywhere. Thank you Tom and thanks for the offer. I did some searching and found a set of 5 1:24th jerrycans from Shapeways for $8.18 but shipping is $9.99. ? I'm going to look and see if they may have something else that I want that I can throw in with the same order to make the shipping charge a little more worth while. Their web site could use a bit of reorganization. They offer 1:24 products but there is no separate browsing category for that scale. It's just lumped in with all the other scales. Again, thanks for the offer, I'll let you know. David G.
  15. Thanks Carl, Just got the second coat shot late yesterday and I'm hoping to paint the green on the top today or tomorrow. David G.
  16. Getting closer to completion, here is the next update. The interior is done. I built the TNT crate from furniture veneer and the dynamite from styrene rod and wire. The Thompson is from the parts box. I know it should have a drum mag but eh, wadda gonna do? What I'm looking for now are a jerry can or two for the trunk. Thanks again, David G.
  17. Nicely done! The top was a bit of a visual surprise, a very eye-catching design. On the funny side, it looks like your model has been sent to the corner for a "time out". David G.
  18. Your interior detail looks great. David G.
  19. Fantastic work on this! One of my favorite movies too. David G.
  20. Looking good! Love the spotlights. David G.
  21. Amazing work on that! David G.
  22. Excellent! I can hardly wait. David G.
  23. Hello All! I've just been plugging away on this one a little bit at a time. I have the base coat down, it needs a little smoothing before the second coat. Then I'll put the green on the roof. The headlight bezels are green of course but I'm trying to decide if I want to tint the headlight lenses red. As always, thanks for taking the time to look and please feel free to comment. David G.
  24. Very cool idea, excellent work so far. David G.
  25. Looks great, excellent color choice! David G.
