My friend has been building high end model cars with incredible amounts of detail for years. Today he approached me and asked if i knew how to work the "interweb"(i'm pretty sure he meant internet haha) because he wants to sell some of his cars and doesn't understand all the online buying and selling.
I know very little about model cars and whatnot but I like helping out friends and told him I'd poke around online for him and let him know what i found out. At first glance it doesn't seem like Ebay attracts the high end models that my friend sells and other places online were coming up useless as well.
So i thought I'd open it up to the friendly community here at MCM.
Where is the best place to buy and sell the high end stuff?
"High end" might be the wrong word but here is a story he told me to give me some clarity on how nice his models were: He brought some of his cars to a show in San Jose and a Ferrari Photographer asked to take a picture of his car. A Pocher kit 1/8th Ferrari F40 with 14k gold detailing(I'm not sure if that is the right way to describe a model car). The photographer then photographed an actual F40 and presented it to his colleagues to see if they could tell which was a model and which as the actual car. They actually picked my friend's car as the actual car.
Any advice or direction you could give me would be very much appreciated!!
