hi guys nice to see 1 built up i have got the papa truck myself but never got round to building it and probably never will seems a shame to sit there on the shelf at 1 stage i was thinking of just building it as a standard rig but seems a shame to as i believe there quite rare now does anyone have an idea what there worth mine is still factory sealed thanks marc

thanks for the comment iam trying to upload some more pics of my other trucks but im having problems saying the files are to big i am no good at this lol

i agree the pictures are not very good i am trying to do some better ones today if i can sort them ill put them on im planning on doing a diaroma soon for it once i can sort the picture problem ill add some of my other truck's and thank's again for the comment

hi i am new to the forum but have been building and driving truck's for a number of years now i would like to share some pictures of my models with you and would like to hear your comments on them this one is an ertl 4300 which started life as a unit but had a spare tipper body so thought why not makes a change from building tractor units and trailers as you can see its had a hard life and with the help of my daughter's katie and shania who made the rubbish bags for me (thank's girl's x)i also fitted led's so that all the light's work look forward to your comment's thank's

im from a town called west bromwich which is just a few miles from the city of birmingham central uk i was disapointed the first time i ever opened the box when i built 1 for a friend there are loads of italeri kits here i wish the same could be said for amt/ertl but i agree with you it does make it hard to detail them

yep thats the problem with the later chassis on the trucks being in one section with the moulded in wings and fuel tanks italeri call it the concept chassis i call it a pain in the rear the other things aswell is no engine just a sump moulded into the chassis no interior walls its basic to the old kits but they charge more for them its a joke ive built a few of these including the man tga which is the same the volvo vn is the same you dont even get an axle that steers i don't know what italeri were thinking but you pay a lot of money for a kit with less parts they should wake up and do something about it

i will look into how much it would cost to ship it to you no problem the place where its at is about 1 hour from where i live but i deliver there twice a week which part of the states are you from and ill see what i can do

thanks for the welcome its nice to find a site for truck model builders well its freezing in the uk at the moment i break up from work xmas eve so looking forward to do some work on an old transtar eagle that i have not to sure what to do with it yet i would love to get some more amt/ertl kits but there rare here now i understand your in the states can you still get amt/ertl kits there easy enough i would love to get the white freightliner i keep looking but still no joy yet

it will be nice to see the build coming on its nice to see you building a daf they must seem strange to people in the states being a truck driver and truck model builder for many years are you still able to get any of the old amt/ertl 1/25 trucks there as they are getting very rare here now i keep looking but not much luck upto yet ill have to put some pics of mine on here when i get use to the site as im new on here but good luck with the build and look forward to seeing the pics
