  1. Yenko produced the 427 Nova in 1969 only. There were around thirty built with only seven or eight that are accounted for today. This is the very first one produced.

This 1969 Yenko Nova was a car described by Don Yenko in one of his last interviews as “a beast, almost lethal, a car that they should not have produced; as they were skirting the edge of product liability when they built this car”. The Nova was not a COPO high performance 427 motor from the factory. It was built with a transplanted 427 motor as Yenko did with the 1967 and 1968 Camaros.

Although GM put factory 427s in Camaro’s and Chevelles, it is known that the GM factory apparently would not put a COPO 427 motor in a Nova. Why not? The most obvious reason would be just as Don Yenko describes himself; using the word “lethal”, and a matter of liability. The body weight of the Nova was less than that of a Corvette. Stuffing a high performance L72 427 Corvette motor in a car of less body weight certainly had to result in tire-smoking performance

Got inspiration and started on it again, body went through brake fluid, got new rims for it ( Cragar S/S with some Goodyear tires )

Today, i finished the interior, it's modificated for racing. I tried some techniques for making a real welding but they got too big, now i know how to make good welds...

    Bye,

    Richard.

  5. This is a car that i really love, for me, it's a symbol of car's. It's my beast. Until i can't own the real one, i have to own it as a model.

I painted it metallic blue, needs one more coat and then lacquer, got these wheels from Japan and they fit so good in my opinion so those will stay!

Engine is 426 HEMI with SIX-PAK carburetor or with weber carburetor's, havent decided yet. I didnt like the front lip which was in 2 pieces so i glued a bigger piece of plastic on them, now it looks perfect to me. In future, i will get a Cuda, so i could have 2 brothers sitting side by side.

  6. Thank you Ian!

Yes, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are all beautiful places to live. About the model, i cant wait my Challenger to arrive so i took 440 engine from my parts bin and installed it there. I also found wheels under the Bee, they're Hasegawa's Ferrari 328GTB wheels, center's painted black.

  7. TIME FOR REBUILD!!! Will have a 380 sixpack engine with supercharger, probably will have BBS LM's under it and black paint, no chrome, interior will have details and i'll probably cut the trunk open

I have already finished the grille, i cut the original lights out because they we're molded in, put some styrene behind the holes and painted it all matte black, then added some light glasses too!
