  1. I bought my first one as my first car and didn't think much of it, it had a bunch of electrical gremlins living in it so i picked up another about a year later and built one good one out of two junky ones. Everything automotive I learned I owe to that car, did my head gasket, replaced an engine, rear main seal, complete new brakes, you name it I did it. I've owned quite a few cars since then and none of them were nearly as fun to drive and work(hard to believe that repairs can be fun) on as my Neon's! I loved that car an always will, no matter what anyone says I will always have respect for 1gn Neon's and would like to pay tribute to the The Blur (that was its name ). Anyway back on topic I knew about the Brookfeilds as they were pretty rare in the Neon community, I guess I'll have to just pick up one of these and do some work to it.
  2. Does anybody know if there ever was a kit of the first generation Neon's made? The years were 1995-1999. It could also be a Plymouth, or Chrysler. I've owned two of these cars in real life and love them to death (call me crazy if you want)and plan on buying another one soon and would like to build a model in memory of the last one I had. Thanks guys.
  3. The RSX has a plug cover to dress up the engine. So when looking at it you won't see the plug wires. It could very well be coil over plug but it still doesn't matter as the cover is covering them up. Hope that helps.
  4. Hey guys thanks for all the welcomes, seems like there's a lot of great people on here! I hope to learn a lot. The kit I have is of a coupe, not the roadster one as seen above, I probably should have said that in my first post. My biggest hobby is anything to do with cars! So I'm gonna go try to be as realistic as possible with it, and if I need any help I've always got my dad here to help out (in college still living with my parents) he builds models like crazy and has been for the past, well I don't even know how long, probably longer than I've been around though. Hey Spyder thanks for the link I'll have to check that out. I do have one pic of a Corvette that's my main inspiration for this build that I'll include below. I'm hoping to get started on this tomorrow as today was the end of my work week.
  5. Hello guys! New guy here and semi new model builder as well. I used to build models with my dads help as a little kid about 10-15 years ago. I'm now 20 and found an old model kit in my closet. It's a 1/25 scale Dodge Viper GTS made by Revell. Ever since I found this kit I keep thinking about building it, but I don't want to just build it how it is I'd like to customize and put my own touch on it to make it my own. The Viper was and still is one of my favorite cars, so I wanna do it right. I was thinking of going with an autocross/road race car. Not some big name race car that you would see in a Le Mans race but something an average guy could have as a weekend racer. So any tips or tricks you guys wanna throw my way, I'd be more than happy to listen. Also if anyone else on here has done any Vipers and wants to show them off as inspiration go ahead and post them here. I did do a quick search on the site but couldn't find any threads about Vipers. Any way sorry for the long post and sorry if it's in the wrong section I couldn't find a new member area anywhere on the site. Well looking forward to getting to know some of you guys and to share my progress with others.
