  1. If you think that you got it bad where you are at,, you oughtta try this area.. land of the dead, the dying and the comotose... AIn't no one in these parts that I know who collects or builds. The nearest club is two hours drive away and it's struggling from what I hear. I sort of feel like Tom Hanks in that movie where he was stranded on a desert island after a plane crash.. when it comes to models, this forum is my coconut that I talk to.. *sighs* No offense against anyone because this coconut responds from time to time when I say something and I am only too glad to have it - it's just the only comparison that I could think of at a moment's notice. :P

:P:o I'm only laughing cuz I feel your pain. I need more coconuts too!!:lol:

  2. See guys, THIS is just ONE reason to join a club. Jerry (the guy who mastered the Chrysler Turbine STATION WAGON) Did us ALL a GREAT favor by bringin these little treasures in! They were a nice collection of models!:blink:B);)

Problem is...it seems all the good clubs are on that side of the states. I'm having a hard time finding one over here.

  3. VERY nicely done. I love how you didn't take it too far. Seems like the rust thing is taken too far sometimes. Yours is perfect. Still wearing some original paint but is worn through. Then the little details like the steering wheel missing and the springs showing on the seat but the winner for me is the missing engine with the trans left behind and the exhaust pipes still sitting there. It seems like that's a detail that's always missed. Bravo!!!

  4. I don't know much about the car you're asking about but I do love me a Tri-5 Chev gasser. The pics of the original car and the progress pics you've posted so far puts me in the front row with a bag of popcorn for this show. I'm looking forward to watching you put this one together!! It's gonna be sweet for sure!

I'm really concerned about the difference between those kits though. I have both of these kits and wanted to build both of them but not if they're that far off. I know the Black Widow kit is one of (if not the best) '57 Chevy models done so far. Anyone have any experience with the ol' MPC flip-nose kit?
