All of you guys have some very good points, Thumper you have to be the best chassis builder from scratch, and thats a fact imop. I love your chassis work, I have not got the courage up to try and build a chassis from scratch but the 55/57 kits as they come are not up to what the current chassis look like as far as the cages and stuff go, but I love using them for the floor pan because, you dont have to make wheel tubs, and floor boards, and they do have a lot of good parts in there too. I mainly use the floor pan and lower chassis, and relocate the lower contol arms to get the wheelbase right and then build around that, here's afew of mine. all of these were done using the 55/57 chassis as a starting point...

what's up fellas, I've done a little bit to this one tonight,I painted the front grille by hand, still need to fix a few spots, I got the body wet sanded and ready for clear, maybe tomorrow, I added nut and bolt details to the rear wing and got the dzus fasteners on, thanks for looking and comments welcome. -
Looks good Brett, I like the wing in the first pic, but if it was up to me I would make one out of sheet styrene that looks a little more like the one's currently being used, but either way I'm sure you'll do a great job on it, keep us posted...

Thanks for the comments fellas, I said I would wait a couple of days for the paint to dry but when I got home today it was good and dry so I put the decals on I think it turned out o.k, once it's all together it should be nice and snug where there are gaps now on the front end, doors etc.. DWR there are no mounts on the front end, the headers are what's keeping it together I'll try and get you a pic of it tomorrow, crowe t.the paint is an enamel paint I pick up from the local hobby shop, thanks for looking and comments welcome. -
Looking good Brett...

Thanks for the comments fellas, I got a little work done on this one last night, I got the sensors done on the headers and got the coil wired and mounted on the firewall. The front end is ready to go, I got the holes done for the headers, I decided to scribe the louvers on the rear quarters, and put on another coat of primer, I'm still not sure on the color I like the red like Tamo's ride but I saw this one the other day and I like it also, what do you guys think??? If I do go with the blue it will still have the yenko stripes, thanks for looking and comments welcome. -

Got the headers done and the rack and pinion in I'll do the sensors on the headers tomorrow and get started on the transmission thanks for looking and comments welcome... -
Thanks for the kind words guys, all of my builds start out with the 55/57 chevy chassis, I usually remove the firewall and the tranmission tunnel and the build the cage and everything else around that, what I like about them is with minor modification they will fit under almosy any body, Altough I dont consider myself a pro, If there are questions I can answer just ask....
