  1. I see we're in for a little bit of a warming trend for the next few days and an bit of a meltdown as well. Good, as I've got snow piled up as high as my mailbox.
  2. Ditto!
  3. Nah, Harry's not goin' to move. Trust me.
  4. The DuPage show will have toys as well as model car kits, promos, die-casts, resin, etc. The Cedarville show will be a model car contest and swap meet, no toys if I recall from last years show. Dave, I don't think that you missed anything by not going to the Waukesha show last December. I didn't buy anything, but we did go to Hooters for lunch, and then stopped at the "Empire" and Greenfield before the long ride home the long way as I-94 was closed between Hwy 11 and Seven Mile Roads. Bummer!
  5. Mike, that 'Cuda is "drop-dead-gorgeous" but I don't think that you can get 295 tires to fit on a 1:1 car, can you? Probably a 275 tire would be max I'd say.
  6. Of course Mike, the date is April 12th, 2014 from 3 - 9 p.m. If you PM me your addy, I'll send you a flyer with a map on the back included.
  7. I was 16 in '62 and working part-time in a grocery chain store to save up enough money for my first car.
  8. Questionable mail delivery? I've never had a problem with mail delivery either outgoing or receiving. You must not be feedin' the pony?
  9. While I love dem Mopars, I won't be getting this kit as I'm tryin' to "cut back" on my model kit buyin' and the "muscle car era" was pretty much kaput after '71 - '72.
  10. Your Nova is lookin' good as that is a great kit to work with.
  11. I start at the top and work my way down on all the forums I belong to. Seems to work for me.
  12. I used to buy multiples of certain kits, but not anymore as I'll NEVER build them all, or use them for parts kits either.
  13. Lee, there is a demand for a model kit of every car and truck ever made. How much of a demand is the question, and also if the demand warrants spending BIG buck$ for the tooling.
  14. Welcome to the forum Brian as this is a great place to be. I was lucky enough to visit Boston last October and liked it very much.
  15. In the future, to avoid "bleed through" here's what I do and it works for me. After the first color is dry, a couple of days or more, I use regular tan masking tape (3M) and lay it down burnishing the edges. I then spray a thin coat of clear along the tape edge, so if there's any "bleed through" at all, what color would it be, of course CLEAR. Then after about 20 minutes drying time, I'll spray my second color without any problems. I do use lacquer paints BTW.
  16. Welcome Vic as this is a great place to be. Too bad you left Chicago as there's PLENTY of snow and COLD weather here. LOL!
  17. It's just a little cold here Joe, that's all, and a warming trend is on the way.
  18. The furnace is on, I'm thinkin' car shows, cruise nights, and drag strips, Life is good!
  19. Nice job on that low rider, real nice. I've been thinkin' 'bout workin' on my '62 Poncho, but it will be Arnie's drag car.
  20. I used to work in 25 degree weather outside while it was snowing also, and it was a piece of cake. Of course I was 30+ years younger also. LOL!
  21. At the DuPage County Fairgrounds on Feb. 23rd is a swap meet, and there is a contest /swap meet in Cedarville, Illinois on March 9th. I'm lookin' forward to both of them, weather permitting.
  22. I would check with Slixx and also Keith Marks.
  23. We recently had an Iwata demonstration at one of our club meetings, and the Neo looks like a great product. I wouldn't have any worries about owning/using one if I were to begin air-brushing again.
  24. Looks sweet. While I do like Corvettes, I'm really not a big fan of them. My favorites are the '60 & the '68 and that's what attracted me to check out your post. Lookin' forward to seein' this one completed.
