  1. Thanks... Wish I could have done a little better, but this is my third 2 tone paint job and every time I do one it's getting a little better. Also the wheels are off camber on the driver side so I'm not displaying that side.. lol. In all I think I saved this model from looking like ###### for the rest of it's life.. I'll probably be starting a new kit this week so I'll post anything I decide.
  2. Finished product, Still needs a little touch up but I have to get a new fine line Silver paint marker to do the trim.. This last pic is just me messing with the trunk... ' So, There it is...
  3. a couple other body pics
  4. So I finished the bodywork, and painting, now I just gotta finish the lower end. Sanded the putty.. Put the Orange base coat on for the stripe... Taped off the stripe and painted the black on... Here is how the trunk looks completed with the putty work painted... More to come soon..
  5. LOL I did this kit almost 6 years ago. It had a ton of dust build up.
  6. I also had to rig a rear end because the old one broke, so I took a rear axle from a 56 del ray that i kept spare parts from and used some other random parts to finish the suspension. I'm letting the putty cure over night and I'll be sanding down the body and putting some paint on pretty soon. I am kind of at a loss at if I should paint the roof White or leave it black... Any input is welcomed.. Thanks.
  7. Now here is some of the putty work so far... And here is a rough idea of what it will look like when it's done minus the paint job.. The rims are out of the Revell Grand National Dub Kit...
  8. So I decided to redo my old 64 Impala for a few reasons... The paint wasn't that great for one, and I didn't like the rims. I also wanted to customize the trunk and rear area with the body filler stuff to try my luck at it. So far So good but here are some pictures of what it use to look like, And I'll post pics of what I've gotten done so far.. I'm gonna sand the body and repaint it black orange going down the side where the indent of the body is.... Before
  9. Jeff, that sounds like a sweet idea. I'll have to keep a look out... I've tried to make a Nascar model into a street before, but the lines just didn't look good, but If I cut the front and rear end off and put it on a similar body it may just work... Thanks...
  10. If anyone knows where I could pick up that GTP model with the 3.4 Let me know. I did like the older style as well. Do you think that somehow someone could make a body out of resin to match the 97-03 body style?
  11. I've been a long time Grand Prix lover and I would love to find model kits for them, it would be awesome if I could find a kit from the 97-03 time. Right now I can only find the 1988 Grand Prix SE and I am getting it, but if anyone knows how to go about getting a 97-03 Pontiac Grand Prix please let me know... I'm sure you all know but This is what I would love to find in a model kit... This is my 00 Grand Prix GT/GTP swapped. Thanks
  12. Thanks. Here are a couple others, Ford SVT Lightening Pickup. And my Girl did this one in less then 6 hours.. She's really getting good at these... I have about 30 that I've build on the shelf, some from 5 or 6 years ago. I've been doing models since I was 15, but I'm really getting into it now that I can focus more, and my painting skills have gotten better. It relaxes me ya know.. I'm 23 now, and I'm set for life with this hobby.
  13. So I just joined the site and A lot of you have very nice models. I can't come anywhere close to the quality a lot of you guys produce, but here are a some models that my girl friend and I have done within the last 2 days. 56 Del Ray.-This has to be one of my personal best so far.. Girlfriend put this Chevy Custom Truck together. She did the paint and everything, I'm proud of her. So there you have it. I'll be sure to get some pics of a couple other models that I have on the shelf.
