Welcome aboard from another NY'er, I'm about 1/2 hour up from the city.

Some real nice work you have there. I'm in NY & frequently ride motorcycles up in the area around Lime Rock, can you recommend any hobby shops in the northeast part of CT?
-
Does anyone make a Firebird body in 1/24th without the fender flares and the vents like on a Trans Am?
-
I'm not happy with the hood I just painted with a Tamiya TS paint, what will strip it? Thanks
-
I grabbed a half done Johan '69 SC/Rambler but its missing the hood and the scoop. Any idea if its available in resin or 3D printed? Thanks
-
PB Blaster works well also

Great looking Monte, did you use the Rust Oleum Crystal Clear Enamel?

Is there an alternative maybe in the big box home improvement stores that's usable for Testors enamel paints? I liked the decent size Model Master thinner in the metal can. Thanks

According to posts in the Facebook "NNL East Facebook Friends" group today (8/31/2023), he has passed. May he Rest In Peace.

GO BUCKS!!!!!!

And they wonder why the hobby is dying. Who wants to spend $35 on a kit that's been around already?

Correct I live across the Sound but grew up in Queens & have a bunch of buddies on the Island always looking for shows to go to.
-
Where on the Island is this? Thanks

Did any of the big model companies make a '63 Corvette convertible? If not, is there a resin body available? Thanks, I want to replicate a friends car for him.
-
That is cool, what was the price?
-
Looks good, what's the eta on it?
-
Yes, that's the hood I want. I didn't know there was a version with it. Thanks
-
No the Monogram kit # 2724 only has the base small block hood but has a big block engine. I was hoping someone knew of an aftermarket resin 65/66 hood.

The Revell/Monogram 67 convertible kit has the big block hood. Red car on the box. Don't recall seeing it in resin.
The 65 & 66 big block hood is very different than the 67 hood. Thanks
I've heard there's a resin company that makes the hood I'm looking for but I've also heard they're very un-Reliable.
-
Anybody know of a stock hood with the bulge for the big block engine? Thanks

Good! I bought the resin convertible body, but I now can't find the donor kit that I thought I had. They are kinda expensive on "the bay", so it will be nice to have a freshly minted one hopefully not molded in yellow.
Where'd you get the resin convertible body from?

I've been using DupliColor primers and paints for a few years and am very happy with the finished product.

Allan, that seems like a long ride from the Lime Rock area to Milford for you but next time I'm up there I will check that store out. Looks like about a 50 minute ride up 95 for me. If you're ever down near Mahopac, NY be sure to check Gallimods Hobby Shop.
