  1. Funny you should mention the vents on the hood. If you look closely, leaning up against the back wall is a cowl induction hood with the Chevelle vents. The resin hood on the car now is just temporary. Stay tuned for the progress and you'll be seeing that custom hood shortly This is the hood that I will be using.
  2. I started this one a few years ago and lost interest in it....until now. Basically all I got done was the body. It took a bit of searching to find all the missing parts. But now we're back in business! So far, Ive gotten the interior almost complete, which now sports a late 90's dash and custom door panels. The old wheels and tires were swapped for some good old big and little Pegasus rims and the engine has been dropped in place.
  3. OUTSTANDING! Great photography as well.
  4. Slick job. I really need to build another one of these.
  5. YEAH!!!!!! NOW, pack it up and mail it to me !
  6. Thanks guys. I'm really digging these little 1/43rd scale cruisers. Best thing off all, they take up a lot less space so now I have an excuse to buy even more! These Chargers are quite detailed with numerous parts and the number of decals available is staggering! Body parts Chassis and interior All of the optional partsThe 2 objects below the interior partition are clear interior strobes
  7. This is what happens when I have too much time on my hands. My brain starts churning out modeling ideas and this is what popped out! Basically, I wanted to see how the new Charger would look like with the original Olive/Black paint scheme from the 60's. So, I stripped down a 1/43rd scale First Response Replicas Charger to bare metal and repainted it using Tamiya paints and topped it with Testors Wet Look Clear. The decals are from an old Pursuit Plastics sheet that just happened to have some smaller door sheilds included on it. Also, I went back to the using the "State Police" versus "State Trooper" markings. I think it came out pretty darn cool looking. Now if only the State would adopt this look :.......
  8. Thanks guys for the compliments! I love the challenge of creating these rigs from scratch. From the research to the final pictures, it's all for fun and yes, stress relief. These trucks are basically a bunch of little models assembled into one big one. Ben, I keep using those old AMT rims since I just got accustomed to using them and, while not accurate, they look pretty good to me. For my next build, I'm think I'm going to be using the wheels and tires from the Trumpeter Alf. I just need to get anothe set of rear wheels and tires. So if anyone happens to have a set gathering dust..............
  9. Tell you what Gregg. You pay for my roundtrip ticket and I'll hand deliver it
  10. After 7 years of fighting with this thing, it's finally done! Let the party begin !!!! This rig is 100% scratchbuilt using Evergreen and Plastruct products. Only kit sourced parts are the wheels and tires. Here is the link for the rest of the pictures http://public.fotki.com/zh/fire-truck-models/honolulu-hawaii-spa/ You should of known this was coming! A little table top hula! The image on the monitor, is the crew from Scale Firehouse, which was taken at last years NNL East. Inside the compartment are 2 folding tables and chairs. Oh yeah! You just gotta have a dash mounted hula girl
  11. Very neat and quite a unique model. Excellent job!
  12. I'm going back to my lego's. Outstanding model!!!!!!!
  13. Not in any particular order....I actually accomplished more than I thought
  14. I better not see Jackson peering through my window! I guess I better hurry up and put up the roller shade before he comes snooping.
  15. Over the Christmas holiday, I built a new diorama for photographing my models. This is the new bay where the final detailing/cleanup will take place......and it fits on my table As you can see, there are some other cruiser's outside waiting to be detailed and photographed. So here's the first cruiser in the new shop bay. This started out life as a 1/25th scale Revell Caprice which I updated to a '93 model with the fully open rear wheelwells and I also added the body side molding. Decals are from Chimneyville and the light bar is from Dave Panek.
  16. Great job! I built this kit several years ago and the decals were a major pain in the rear. Once the decals were applied to the body, they immediately were stuck. No sliding around. I ended up using three decal sheets.
  17. I built this as a simple curbside model. Pretty much right from the box with the addition of a pair of parts box mirrors, spotlights and Pegasus rims and tires plus the mandatory slammed stance. Does anyone happen to have a spare set of these decals? I need another set to complete the passenger side.
  18. Another stunning masterpiece Bob. I just love how you can morf bodies together.
  19. Just finished this one up. Revell Caprice with Chimneyville Decals. Built pretty much box stock except for lowering the rear end a little and tweaking the light bar. I modified the light bar to include rotators and mirrors plus take down lights and alley lights
  20. Hey Chris, looks like you still haven't caught the guy that stole the other half of your truck!
  21. Nope. I just applied some bare metal foil to the center cap.
