made from a old ertl toy the plastic proved to be a challenge to paint but i conquered it the look is something i used to see in my neighborhood none of these cars exist anymore because the gangbangers that drove them loved having demolition derbies with them

i learned not to strip them to bare metal i sand them down with 600 to level it out then lay the paint on them
-
the body is a resin conversion from jimmy flintstone the wheels are from the bin with the tires painted to simulate the new generation vogue tire this is pretty much it its a slammer so i doesnt have brake or headlight detail
next is a diecast 74 gremlin we owned one when i was 6 ours had seen better days but after the diecast was released i decided to build what ours wouldve looked like new.

That paint is AWESOME, must have taken you hours!!
Brushed on?
the lining was done by hand then candy coated with orange
-
got this done took a while cause most of the interior went missing it was supposed to be a paint mule but one day it got out of hand and decided to carry on with it im happy with the result the whole paint job was done by hand then topped off with candy orange
-
I tried a white gel pen and circle template yesterday, and it worked like a charm
i kept trying that and it bled under every time and the lines were limited to what the pen is available in
-

My alternative to BMF is aluminum furnace tape. You get a whole roll for a few bucks and would last most modelers many years. I've had mine for probably five or more years and the adhesive is still good. It's a bit on the thick side but I like that, it's easier to work with and durable but I can still work it into the crevices and around curves.

i use this mainly on window trim or long trim but this stuff is good but it dulls 11s like crazy

got this today at a toy show and went to work on it right away i plan on making this a week build
-
nothing fancy mostly box stock but a lot of body work went into this one . the interior was done with half round styrene and the wheels and tires are from a 69 cutlass 442 the tires from pegasus. the color is a mix of hok candy hues.

i have no idea how old it is but i built it while i was still in high school and while i was still in possension of the 1:1 it was probably the only car in all of Barranquitas with 17inch Niche Jetgears(3 spokes not the 5 aka Bahns) my brother bought the car from me before i moved back to the states he ended up letting it go to ###### and ended up getting stolen. im gonna build the model close too the condition that i sold it to my brother. primed trunklid, white left door door missing trim, white left side fender and no bumper turnsignals.

i cant believe that this thing is still in the shape its in i figured she wouldve melted it or thrown it in a shredder we didnt break up on bad terms or anything but i figured it would be in worse shape than this she gave it back because shes going back to Georgia tech.

kinda a rush to finish but better than what it used to look like the color is hok limetime, the wheels are XS, the stereo is resin casted the tints are tamiya smoke before i started doing it on decal paper

For the benefit of us older guys, can you tell us what "Ikkidousen" means?
And while you're at it,,,,,,,,,,,what the hell is a hatchi roku?
It took me two years to figure out that the guy who kept telling me my models were "sick" was actually complimenting them. Now I have to learn Japanese?
Ikkidousen is a anime we watch lots of scantily clad Japanese girls duking it out. Hatchi Roku is Japanese for 86" refers mostly to 85 through 87 corollas like this one

Move over buddy! She will carry the torch now.
Good job. The color fade is nice. Congratulations to her.
she has for a while shes built 2 and i only managed to build one
-
she did a lot of work to this one so its her best yet she filled the windows added a lip around the bottom to give it a lowered appearance she also cut the vertical bars off. originally she was to paint the characters on but saw me messing around with the decals i made for my hatchi roku and cadillac so she went that route. she even made some fillers for the seat if you look close
