  1. i have not build a model in over 10 years, so most of this is new to me. for that reason i have a few silly questions regarding this topic. does the paint have to be air brushed when using nail polish? or can it be done w/ a regular paint brush? also when doing the thinning. woudl i have to use what i thinn, or can the whole nail polish be thinned and saved for later use?
  2. Deckerz... i'm new here and don't know any one yet. i just wanna say that i'm sorry to hear what happen to you. hope you get better soon and nothing else happens.
  3. randx0... thanks for the info and the welcome =). i was thinking on going flat black on the huey, add yellow lines on some parts and silver on a few other. i'm going to stop at michaels after work and hope to get some stuff. thanks for your help again =) AgentG... i will be stopping at michaels after work and get some of the stuff (hope they have it). i'm shooting on sticking w/ the hobby, because when i use to do it before i had a blast. i use to find it relaxing and then i stopped for some reason. thanks for the info about sporting good camo colors. i use to enjoy the hobby when i did it 1st over 10 years ago. i use to mess more w/ hot wheels that model kits. well thanks for your info again. i plan on getting pics and posting after is complete.
  4. i have been reading some post and you guys do know your stuff. well i use to build some model cars years ago, and use to even mess w/ hot wheels. i just never got into it high enough to move up on scales. i got a revell uh-1c huey (sweet looking) today from hobby town usa (sense i can't find models any other place). a co-worker gave me some tips and also told me to get the paint at walmart and spray paint primer. well here comes the questions (hope i make sense lol)... my friend said get the spray can white primer... does the brand matter? does the one for metal work? i was unable to find any paint at the walmart i checked or target, but i will check super walmart tomorrow... does it matter the brand on the paint? can it be craft paint used for ceramic and craft items? i live in tampa,fl and don't seem to have luck any where i go lol. would michaels be a good place to get the paint? do they sell model cars? i also see people talking about air brush painting. is that what i need, or can i use a brush till i get better? also what type of gel glue do i need? i'm like so lost here lol... i like collecting diecast cars and rather have some that i build. also do people here mess w/ hot wheels? its been years sense i messed w/ any of this. thanks in advance for teh help, and sorry for all the bs i said plus all the questions.
