  1. Thanks for the encouragement everybody!! Well me and the misses have sold our condo and are moving in a week. So, instead of polishing, I went another route I've never tried. Future.

Trying to build and pack is proving to be hard. So It'll probably be awhile before the next post. Hopefully from my new workbench!!!!!! Hurray!!!!

    Progress tonight:

  2. I've never done a "workbench" post, so here it goes.

After building 2 Italeri and 1 Tamiya, I've decided to change it up and go domestic. This will be my first rubbed out paint job, so, if I mess up, you'll be right there with me. ?

I will be going traditional on this one, just a little lower than originally out of the box.

  3. I agree. I love the 1:1 car, but I'm not familiar with the kit. From what I can see of yours, it turned out very well. Who makes it and are there any other features we could see? (engine, chassis, interior, etc)

It's a Hasegawa kit I got off of Amazon. The kit goes together very well, the only problem I had was with the side vents near the door windows. The way they are molded on the tree makes them virtually impossible to remove. The side vents (rocker panels) need to be attached and filled before paint. I didn't put these on as I like the looks without them.

It's a "curbside" kit. The engine cannot be seen under the rear hatch. So it's really up to you as to how much you detail it.

  4. I was checking out your album (great work by the way) and got all hot and bothered when i saw the Cadillac LMP. Where can I get my grubby paws on one of those kits?
