A friend of mine casts these tires . They are rear slicks from the red baron, street fighter, almost every tom daniel kit. they have an insert and he casts that in white . You can get an original tires and paint the insert.Where did the whitewalls come from?
Thanks,

nice, but it needs fades or panels
Build yours with fades, This is one of the 50 paint jobs this car had. This is THE Lowrider.

"Throw the bubble away cause it sucks. Go to the craft store (I went to acmoore) and they have clear , 2 piece xmas balls for .68 "
The bubble hasn't been a problem with mine, but finessing the interior and chassis has,not to mention one of the many paint schemes the car had over it's life span. I did pick-up another one at a show that was cast a little better. You're build has inspired me to look it over again and see if my skills have improved over the years to fix what was bothering me.
Its a kinda ruff one . mine had a crease in the bubble, useless. And you are correct , The interior is a scratch builders job.

Very nice! I've had that one in primer for years now. Just can't get into finishing it.

um i dont think that a resen kit at all. its really amts new 33 willys gasser kit and is shown yellow and silver on the box art. of the kit box. you can find it at e hobbies model site. but cool car though.
The red willys is a Tru value hardware 1/24 scale die cast bank that I bought for 5 dollars and stripped and rebuilt. The resin body costs to much.below is the amt kit

After looking at this model you're asking for logic???
Since the driver's head would be sucked into engine 1 at startup, the question of whether or not slicks are needed seems a little besides the point!
ITS A MODEL ! Nice work.
