  6. I went thru my stash last night..and decided that i would go ahead and build the Accurate Miniatures "1963 Corvette Grand Sport" (1965 Sebring 12-Hours) Model kit.. Did my search on here and came across this interesting thread about this subject...However i am just a bit confused...the talk about the ones on E-Bay..of this kit shows it to have a Kit Number of #424880....The Box Art appears to all be the same...But my Kit Number shows #24003.. Question: Why two different Model Kit numbers? I have had mine for over a year....and Paid $39.99 for it back then at my LHS And of course now that i want to build it...they are going to be easy to obtain...Go figure.. Thanks and cheers to all... Don...
  7. Ben....over at BMC there is a Tutorial (Detaling Headliners in Road and Race Cars)...it really does work...would be happy to post a couple of pics for you..here on MCM...but me not figure out how to post pic's on here..i find it to be frustrating.... Hope this Helps...Cheers...Don
  8. I use "First Aid" Bandage tape for Head Liners in my Models...what i use has a very fine diamond pattern..Scale is perfect to represent a Head Liner.. and yes it can be painted over

  16. Thank-You for the useful information..
  17. I have all my decals in plastic little bags..of different sizes...in with decal backing paper..and then labeled with a hobby label maker letting me know what kit they are from..and what they are used for... Before i put the decals away in a small black case that i use...i scan the decals into my computer..under different headings..such as dash decals, stripes, racing, engine, ferrari.. and so on... this helps me a lot...instead of going thru a mass of decals..and i have lots...i just look on my computer and see what i have... Anyway that is how i like to make use of my decal collection... Cheers to all....Don aka XJ6
  18. I have sold a great deal of model kits to my LHS.....and he has told me stories of how people would sell him kits....bring back kits for a refund..just to unseal the kits..and to find all kinds of sorts....I have heard some amazing stories on what he has found in the boxes... So the rule of thumb is.."Always know what you are buying...and if not sure then ask the buyer to show "ALL you are buying.. Good Luck....
  19. Which paints do you use with the Plasti Kote primer...i have been wanting to change to a cheaper in cost primer (i use Tamiya at this time).and also spray with Tamiya TS-sprays.. sometimes i will use Model Masters Lacquer Sprays... Thanks for any information...Cheers.....Don
