Nick F40 replied to Zoom Zoom's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Oh boy oh boy oh boy, that should be the REAL godzilla, heck with the GT-R, that I consider Japan's new supercar. -
Top Gear, the end is nigh?
Nick F40 replied to HotRodaSaurus's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Interesting. I love Top Gear, it is the only show on TV i'll watch, i'm serious, I watch no TV....I just like the fact that it's about cars, my type of cars and the way they test is just hilarious and the challenges are insanly entertaining. I hope they don't go, I just love the show, everything about it is perfect and so are the hosts. I wish I could have seen the earlier epsiodes, I would love to buy all of them for my ipod. There is so much I could tell you guys right now All the british comedy stuff is on my local channel MOORRRE!! POOOOOWWWWEEEEERRRR!!!!!!! -
Now that is a very well built version. Haven't seen one this nice in a while.. And yes, they are totally different than NASCAR, the cars at least looked like the cars and different engines and the cars weren't as "safe", like a real race car should.

The entire F1 lanscape is changing.
Nick F40 replied to CAL's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Oh yes, I have been reading all of this over the past few weeks. It is all interesting for sure. 2010 will be a hell of a season! I can't wait. It ought to be good for a lot of racing series. It ought to be some good F1 racing. The FIA is now getting back to normal now that a certain someone is out but the court ruling on WSCC The driver for our team is interesting, considering he needs to gain a certain amount of money to race. -
Ahh yes, the famous Ken Block. I have seen this and it is sweet love it and it is great that he's getting rally out to younger viewers BUT when they kids think of rally or when you ask them they automatically think this is rally and he's the best. This isn't a rally, this is gymkhana and yes he is considered one, I just want to see him do that in a RWD rally car like an Opel Manta....I mean people think he did that first try, look at all the marks, HOURS and DAYS of practice. Ari Vatenen, Colin McRae, Henri Toinoven, Walter Rohl, Carlos Sainz, Richard Burns, those are true rally drivers and made a name for themselves not by doing things like this......just my 2 cents. Still very very cool!!

I spent $600 for it, Recaro Trophey's: $150 bought from a friend so he could buy a compressor to help with my other friend and us shaving his engine bay Raceland coilovers: $360 new Luminics lights: $40 new Grille and smoked e code round crosshairs: $150 new Scottish plate: $30 new custom exhaust: $210 so I have a tad over $1500 in it so far so I got plenty for my engine but I can tweak that. She came with a Neuspeed front strut bar. I plan on making the trip although it would be more fun to go with someone.

:P :o the guys over at VW Vortex would LOVE you! You certainly know your stuff. That is a hell of a plan! here's mine, not quite all you explained but am going with a cam, crossflow aba head with carbs, header and phone dials would be sweet! I am getting a pair of PIAA rallye lights since Cibie's are hard to find. this isn't a recent shot, I have a Scottish plate. I do have coilovers though! 343,000 miles and still strong!

SPEED, o lovely SPEED
Nick F40 replied to Nick F40's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Wow you literally just summed all this up 100% PERFECT!! Nail on the head. That's what people need to realize, we're not just saying this to complain and such there's a reason and showing facts. I love those TDI Cup races, the premise is genious and that's why the races are hilarious and fun to watch. The LeMons racing, yeah me to, that is HANDS DOWN the best racing, as you described in the last part. I am hopefully going to compete in the one at Summit Point next year. -
wow, we are going to get along!! I like your taste, exactly like mine. Yeah, ain't that a sweet commercial!

Best/Worst Winter Vehicles!

Nick F40 replied to Nick F40's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yeah, the Speed site had the right times but the guides and such had wrong labels. I would rather watch that though, I'm glad they are using street cars and developing things to make the racing better and things that CARRY OVER to the street car. The new Vette was built based off of the racing program, that's what I think when I watch and think of racing. Speed has always done that, and I'm saying that as implying toward when Speedvision went out of our lives , they have always shown the year's season in the winter of those series, we will be seeing races that happened at the beginning of the year and I like how it's all in an hour! -
Love that V12 engine, I saw that before. It sounds real! what about the 1:3 scale Ferrari engine? here's some more, good ol 90's DTM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8fy9SzlHF8...feature=related or the 09 DTM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dJEsDIeQtM

You want to know why? It's because of Fox Reality 2 only showing NASCAR coverage. They show the coverage of Grand Am, ALMS, SBK, etc. but it's total ######. People would know more about the others if they actually shown coverage and not just hour long bullcrap. They don't show them therefore people don't know about them and when they come on the viewers have no freakin idea. It's refreshing to hear that from a southerner because that seems to be the deception of NASCAR but that's all it is nowadays. And sadly it's the only ###### one you hear about. I agree with Chris, it is declining and the other "less expensive" and "cars that ACTUALLY LOOK AND SOUND like the road car" is making a huge comeback, that's why the ALMS and Grand Am is so nice. Look at the GT class in ALMS, 9 manufactures! As on the US F1 Team, yeah not much, they got Jose if he can come up with the sponsership funds in time but no one else. I am following hugely on the 2010 season! It's nice to see the Senna name back in F1. -

The V8 Supercars are no today but i watched both DTM and BTCC yesterday, not that bad of coverage but they cut down on the laps in between commercials and when the coverage comes on, it directly goes to the starting of the race, no interest it seems, it was nice to see though, great sounding cars and the BTCC was fun but the coverage made it horrible to watch I still am happy though! -
that is awsome!
-
It's pretty bad when they are STILL talking bad things about and the truth about your network. This never seems to die down http://www.speedtv.com/forums/ There is a god though, DTM, BTCC, and V8 Supercars are now being shown, all hail the winter season! This Saturday, yes, the WEEKEND, instead of 1PM on a Tuesday afternoon when no ones home, there is going to be DTB and BTCC on Saturday and V8 Supercars on Sunday. Thank you! Still waiting on their own.....sponsered....series.......to air

This also has been one of my favorites Osella using a BMW V12
-
Yeah back when those guys did it constantly in a race and it was called just a "regular run" Now the Matra mmmhmm, one of my all time favorite videos and yes, can't forget the bikes. Now I love my sports car racing and touring cars but NOTHING, even rally can come close to these guys, these guys are true racers, true riders, and have the passion of what racing is all about, I am talking about the Isle of Man TT, when it comes to bike sounds, here you go
-
that is hands down.......THE BEST COMMERCIAL EVER!!!!!!!! I am so glad I use V Power in my GTI You realize you just summed all this up right there? No really, you did All those engines were and are epic. Dale Watts, that's good and those 131's are something else. Dale Beaver, yeah I know, you keep reminding me! All those you got to see and hear. And those pics you posted up are good ones. That BMW engine is wicked, yeah isn't it the F1 motor? Although I agree with Chris, they just don't have the passion. Andy, I love V12's, V8's, V10's all of them but I've seen a couple videos of this and indeed for it's side it has the PERFECT sound ever. I would kill to have this thing fly by me at full speed on Silverstone, Spa, or Nurburgring! It sent chills up my spine....again!

It's just.......perfect! wow!
