  1. Ok, thanks. Brad
  2. Hi, Does Keith reply to emails? Brad
  3. Perfect, just emailed Keith. Cheers Brad
  4. Hi, Excuse my auto-ignorance , but who is Keith Marks? Thanks Brad
  5. Gents, I have painted the body of my model silver frost, or as close as I could get it to that shade. I will add the rally stripes over the top of the car, and want to add the GT stripes along the bottom of the car sides. They don't look very good (thick) so I painted a test peice from a spare kit part I have with the same colour and then decaled it. It looks terrible. Not only is it thick, but it looks like there is a large amount of the carrier film that either yellowed over time, or could it be part of the stripes? Are there after-market Mustang GT decals around, or do I have to use these and live with them? I mostly build aircraft models, and we have a plethora of after-market decals to dress our models up. Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks Brad
  6. Oh well...I guess my paint job is hooped then...thanks man...j/k Brett, I figured it was almost half an inch, so no sweat. Cheers Brad
  7. Doh! Sorry Brett, your initial post was clear, I wasn't focused to see it. Thanks for waking me up. Cheers Brad
  8. Hi Brett, Thanks much for the reply. Is there a standard measurement of gap between each stripe? Thanks again Brad
  9. Gents, I am looking to add stripes over the hood, roof and trunk to my Silver Frost painted '67 Mustang GT and was wondering if there was a standard width for them? TIA Brad
  10. Yup, that's my plan. Thanks for the help guys! Brad
  11. Hi Guys, thanks for the replies. I am building this model for my Brother-in-Law and his didn't have the quarter windows. I was affraid I was going to have to fill them in.. Cheers Brad
  12. Is there a way to back date the 1950 Chevy pickup to a 1949? I have the AMT 1950 Texaco kit and wish to build it as a 1949 single rear window pickup. The Texaco 1950 pickup kit has the two small windows either side of the rear window. TIA Brad
  13. Hi there, I won't install the pumpers, just the fron and rear ends of the car which will be painted the same base colour as the rest of the car. I build military aircraft and vehicles, so I am familiar with washes etc, but since re-joining the hobby 15 years ago, I've never tried a shiney car. Thanks Brad
  14. Gents, Not sure if this should go here, but here goes...I am venturing into my first car model and have a few questions. Do you guys build up the body as much as possible to get to the painting stage or do you follow the instructions? The front and rear peices aren't great fits and will require some sanging and putty to transition smoothly. How do you guys get the chrome trim around windows and edges of the wheel wells? Do you remove the chrome on wheels and bumpers and paoint chrome (alclad) or leave as is?
