Is there a model kit with a 440 6-pack motor that will fit a Revell 1/25 Pro Modeler 1969 Charger? Thanks!

Yeah, I almost had one this weekend on E-bay, but got outbid! Those models are not cheap! Oh well, theres always more to come up for sale! Thanks for the replies!

I have seen some of your other builds(buy the way, great models!) in this forum, and I'm looking forward to lots of updates and pictures on this build. I started the "Best kit for '64 GTO thread", and had no I idea what would end up happening(touchy subject), but I did see alot of great '64 GTO models and learned alot! I plan on building a '64 GTO too, in the near future.

I just wanted to say thanks for all the great replies and outstanding pictures of some great '64 GTO's. The feedback allowed me to really learn alot, and I went with the Monogram (red molded plastic version). Should be delivered next week! I'm sure when I start building it, I'll be asking more questions! Thanks again!

Has anyone here built an AMT Race Car Hauler/ Ford LN8000. If I could see pictures of it that would be great, as I'm thinking of buying and building one. Thanks!

This is the GTO I'm going to build my model by: http://ultimategto.com/cgi-bin/showcar.cgi?type=lot&pic=/1964/64_00155_5

So if I go with the "stock" version with red molded plastic, will I have any issues with "bleed through after painting? The red molded versions are cheaper and more plentiful then the "2n1" versions. Thanks!

Wow! You guys build some great models! Makes me want to buy a "real" one and drive it at the Woodward cruise!

Thanks George! I think I will get the Monogram/Revell 64 GTO. I do not want to invest the $$$$ for the original issue AMT version, especially if I was to make a mistake!
Is this the one to get?

When you guys talk about the old AMT 1964 GTO, are you talking about the AMT/ERTL Johnny Lightning version? Thanks!

Thanks guys for the info, really appreciate it. Now, the hunt begins!

Hey guys,
Which brand of kit would be best to build a 1964 GTO(stock)? Thanks!

Lets See........ The Revell 68 Dodge Dart 2n1 kit(2), a AMT 70 Challenger Johnny Lightning kit, a Revell 68 Bullitt Mustang, a Revell 68 Mr. Norms Dodge Dart. Well, that was this week. I think you guys have seen the pictures of all these.

Thanks again everyone for your input, I've learned alot! I purchased an AMT 70 Challenger Johnny lightning kit today on ebay. I've heard that the engine in this kit is not that good. I been told that the AMT 71 Charger(Round2 issue or an earlier issue) would have a great 440, but it has an auto trans. I thought that the movie car had a 4 speed manual. Well, maybe I'm being too fussy, and should just build it! Again, it sure is fun getting back into this hobby again after 35 years!

Thanks Bruno! That helps alot.

Thanks Jason! Now, I have to make a "side trip' on the way home from work today!

Thanks guys for the info. Wow! They send you a AMT kit inside a MPC box? Thats BULL&*#*&!!!
Paul

Hey guys, what would a MPC 1970 Challenger fetch on E-bay these days? Also, what ballpark price would you pay for one? The reason I'm asking is I might look into buying one, if its not too crazy! Buy the way, great forum! I've learned so much since signing up! The more I read the forums, the worse the "BUG" gets! Thanks!

Is that the 1/25 or 1/24 scale model? Thanks!
By the way great looking model of the "Vanishing Point car!

Hey Bruno,
Did the AMT kit come with the R/T hood? Also, if it did'nt, where did you get yours? Thanks again everyone for your great responses!
Paul

Is the current Revell 1/24 scale challenger ok to use, or should I go to Epay for a Monogram one? Also, does anybody know where to purchase a 1/24 scale R/T hood? Thanks!

Thanks guys for all the input! Also, Eric I do not have anything to trade, sorry and thanks for offering!

Does anyone here have photos of the "Incorrect" body and the "Corrected" body. I just received a kit off of E-bay and everything in the box is complete and unopened, except the bag which holds the body. The body I have is white, but I'm not sure if it is the "Corrected" body or not. Sorry, I should have taken a photo of mine. Thanks!
