  1. Hey guys, I would like to build the "Vanishing Point" 1970 Challenger, and I'm wondering what kit/kits you would advise me to purchase? Thanks! Paul
  2. Nice looking TransAm! Thanks everyone for the info! Paul
  3. Wow! That Charger is sweet!!! Thanks guys for the responses!
  4. I'm been out of this hobby for about 35 years, way too long!, But I've got the bug real bad again! What are the AMT "Proshop" & the REVELL "Metal" body kits all about? Are these good models to assemble? Thanks! Paul
  5. Hey thanks "Dragon", I just was looking there on Saturday, and didn't see it then. Wow! $42.00 already, I'll keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't go too much higher! I think I paid about $4.00 for mine, that is long gone now. Thanks everyone for the resposnes! Paul
  6. Here is a link that shows a picture of it: http://ultimategto.com/cgi-bin/showcar.cgi?type=lot&pic=/models/71gtostree Thanks!
  7. Does anybody remember this model from the 70's(I think). I built this model then, but it is long gone now. I would like to build this model again. If I was able to find one, is it going to be a high dollar(above $50) or reasonable(below $50). I remember when MPC used to be located in Mount Clemens,MI, about 15 miles from my house. Ah! Those were the days! Thanks!
  8. Tried to search the forums, but no luck. Has anyone ever built this car? Thanks!
  9. Thanks again Sean! This thread will really be helpful, especially to us "newbies"! Paul
  10. Thanks everyone for all the responses. Yeah Sean(Bandit1), your suggestion would be very helpful to everyone!
  11. Is there any way to visually indentify on the box cover, if a AMT Kenworth T-519 kit has a "torsion" rear suspension? Some being sold online are still wrapped in plastic, and the sellers obviously does'nt want to open it. Thanks!
  12. Tim, The videos and photos are great! They will be very helpful in my "quest" of the "MovinOn" model. Thanks again for sharing them with us! Paul
  13. Great video Tim! Wow! You got a ride in the "Movin'On" truck, too cool! Also, thanks Roy for the pictures! I never built truck models back in the 70's like you guys do! I have alot to learn, but this sure is fun getting back into this hobby! Thanks again everyone for all the info. Paul
  14. Thanks Tim! I wish I was not working this weekend, that show sounds cool!
  15. Thanks guys for the great info. This all got started when I saw a "youtube" clip of the TV series "Movin'on", boy I remember watching that show in the mid 70's. Also, I used to build the AMT trucks back then when I was around 12 -14, but nothing as good as I see on this forum! So, I got the bug again! Kind of scares me when I see what some of the old AMT truck kits are selling for on E-bay(used to buy them for $5-6 bucks! Hopefully "Round2" will keep reissuing them.
  16. Do I need more than one kit to creat the Movin'On Kenworth? If so, which kits are best. I've never done anything with "resin" or building from scratch. I'm definitely a beginner! Thanks!
  17. Thanks for all the great responses! Now, I know alot more.
  18. Sorry for such a dumb question, but I'm only familiar with "plastic' model kits. What exactly is resin, and what are the basic differences between resin and plastic? Thanks!
