  1. Sixties Sam - Thank you Sam!! charlie8575 - Thanks!! And I agree with you, the challenge in this kit was bigger than the Revell Chevy Nova, especially about minor details, because the kit doesn't come with anything, and I don't have experience to do decals, micro painting and labels by my self yet... but I love muscle cars, so I'm kinda obligated to know how to build AMT haha Bye!!
  2. Thank you guys! The Impala is finished! http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=48349 Bye!!
  3. Hey!! Here's my second finished model, a 64" Chevrolet Impala SS. The AMT kit was really simple, and it make things a lil bit more difficult for me, since a don't have so much experience yet. I'll add some details on the engine when I had time. 1:1 Reference My model
  4. Modellpularn - Thanks. Yes, that's my second model, yesterday I speed up the work over the Impala and if everything goes well I'll finish him tonight. Daniel Lynch - Thank! W-409 - haha I think you like the old 409!!
  5. Wow!! That's amazing! Beautiful model!
  6. Thanks Gasser59, that's my second, I started two months ago on modelism I guess... =D And yes, this kit come with Cragars and original steel wheels with hubcaps, the engine give two options too, a custom chrome blower and a stock version, I just use some chrome parts on the stock version because I really dont think that a scoop will fit well on a 64 Impala...
  7. I love the wheels and the interior!! Congratulations!!
  8. phatfender - Thank you !! hahuahu I'm feeling better now bbowser!! Jeff - Cool!! I'm into similar situation, I have a friend in NJ, that's born in USA, but his parent's are from Brazil. And here's my new topic, about my second model, a 64" Impala! http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=48220&st=0&gopid=525460&#entry525460 Bye!!
  9. 3rd post I do some wash on front grill and on the wheels. Here's just a comparative, the left one was "washed". And finally... today I have finished the body paint, I think it looked really nice since I don't use airbrush yet! I hope U like it guys, it's my second model and I'm really enjoying doin it!!
  10. Continuing... First I was thinking about an white interior, but I realize that it will look too much classic for a muscle car, so I made it in black with a two tone dashboard. I have to split the pictures in more than one post...
  11. Hello!! It's my 2nd topic here, maybe some of you, have seen my Chevy Nova on the "Under the glass" section... Well... heres the 2nd model that i'm building, and 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS. The only two things I know since the begginin, was that i'll not make it a lowrider and the color will be metalic blue... So, searching for pictures of details about this car, I found this beautiful car, that represent exactly what I'm tryin do to with my AMT Impala! I started with the engine. Basically, I mixed parts from the custom version of the kit, with parts from the stock model. Here's the engine already finished. (I'll only do some wash on the valve covers)
  12. Thanks for the replies!! --- Dominik - hehe, no, that's ok!! the roof stripes get me in trouble when I start them, because they're decals, and I just realize that the lenght doesnt fit well after gluing everything!! Thanks for your observations, i'll try to prevent that on my next building!! Sport Suburban - Thanks, that kit is really nice, I like it!! About the Camaro, that's my idea, but, last friday was my birthday, and a friend gave me and 64" Impala SS. So, thats my next model!! There's an "building section" here? I'm kinda lost on the forum yet hehehe W-409 - Thanks!! And yes, I'm not a big fan of "modernization" on classic cars, I prefer them looking bad and loud hehe *Sorry for my english!!
  13. Hi, it's my first post here. I'm from Brazil, and I'm a big fan of muscle cars, and I started on modelism last month, and that's my first finished model, a 69, Chevy Nova Yenko. Here's my 1:1 references And here's the result, the paint was done with "spray can" because a dont have an airbrush yet! The modifications done are: Engine detailing Hood stick (I know the 1:1 don't use it, but without it, the hood doesn't stay opened) Vinyl Roof, done it matte black and tape. Door windows half opened Now i'm looking for a new model to build, i'm looking for an old Camaro!!
