  1. Aaron... I've never seen The Godfather either. I've seen bits and pieces, but have never actually sat through the whole thing. But I did read the book (before the movie came out).
  2. I love to see this kit being built. Huge Pocher fan myself... I also built this one several years ago, A great kit, IMO.
  3. I'd only be interested if it looked like an Opel GT. Otherwise it's just another genericar.
  4. My mom warned me that if I gifted myself I would go blind...
  5. I agree with what Art said as far as "parting out" kits and selling the bits separately. The person who owns the kit (or the parts) has every right to sell his merchandise as he sees fit. It's his stuff. You may not like the idea; you might not do things that way as a matter of principle... but you can't really fault the guy for doing whatever he wants to do with his property. If you disagree with the idea of parting out a kit, the best response is probably to never buy parts that are being sold that way. That's about all you can do, other than complain about it.
  6. I love it! The color, the hubcaps, all the details work. And a super clean, almost surgically clean model. Nice.
  7. I do keep busy...
  8. RR themselves never made a woodie, but woodie bodies were put on RR chassis by other builders. That's a scratchbuilt body I designed myself... sort of a "what if." I just made it up, based on internet photos I found...
  9. If we can nominate dead people, my choices would be different. Guitar... do you really need to ask? Jimi Hendrix. Maybe Stevie Ray Vaughan too, and they can trade licks. Bass... sticking with Tim Schmidt... drums, John Bonham hands down. Vocals... I'll stick with Robert Plant.
  10. You're a real traditionalist Charlie!
  11. 13,000 posts? You beginners crack me up...
  12. Speaking of the E Street Band... musical guest on SNL last night. Oddly enough they played "Ties That Bind," a 35 year old song from "The River" album...
  13. Interestingly enough, he plays with the E Street band these days.
  14. Then why don't all decals yellow?
  15. She quit the band in the late '90s and just recently rejoined. Maybe she's just out of practice...
  16. I think smoking would have yellowed the entire model, not just the decals.
  17. No way I could watch that show. Adam Levine is "nails on a chalkboard" for me. Yeah, that annoying.
  18. If you know how to work Microsoft Excel, that would be the ideal format for you to put this together. Excel is designed specifically for creating spreadsheets like this.
  19. A spectacularly good kit. One of the best ever, from the time when Lindberg was knocking them out of the park on a consistent basis. Lindberg then was what Moebius is now.
  20. Since the decals in question looked fine when originally applied to the model, but only yellowed after, my guess is the glue used in their manufacture (the adhesive layer between the backing sheet and the decal film itself) is of pretty poor quality or has impurities in it, and once activated by water, a slow chemical breakdown began. Too bad, because there's not a whole lot you can do now to fix them. Maybe a dose of direct sun would help, but that would also tend to fade the colored areas, too.
  21. I'm liking that Nissan Z...
  22. I'm sure a lot of people would like that. The problem is getting someone to actually do it. And constantly working to keep it current/accurate.
  23. Uh... Lindsey Buckingham is a man. Lead guitarist of Fleetwood Mac. Buckingham, John McVie, and Mick Fleetwood are the guys... Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks are the girls.
