  1. Another good one. A huge hit when I was a kid, but never heard from them again...
  2. The one I posted was a hit. It got to #23 on the US Modern Rock chart. Probably was never a big "AM Radio" hit, but it got tons of airplay on the stations I listened to in those days.
  3. I can't believe doing that is legal!
  4. You know what you need to do? Scratchbuild a Hemi-powered Super Seven around that engine!
  5. I got a note from Casey... he deleted the topic. He explained why. I sort of disagree with his reasoning, but at least now I know why it disappeared.
  6. Are you kidding? They were huge! They had tons of hits. Just Like Me. Kicks. Good Thing. Mr. Sun, Mr. Moon. Hungry. Let Me.
  7. Ok, music lovers (and I know you're out there)... I know there are tons of "one hit wonders"... bands or singers that made a big splash on the charts and/or the radio and then were never heard from again. Too many to mention. But just for fun (and for the memories), let's post up some of our favorite "one hit wonders," Where to even begin? Ok... here's a song I really, really like, by a band I never heard of before this song came out... and never heard from again after this song came out. But this one song remains one of my all time favorites. "The noise from the tape deck was only drowned out by the buzz from the wine"... I don't know why, but I love that lyric!
  8. Looks pretty good to me!
  9. Sometimes I wish I was born 100 years earlier than I actually was...
  10. Pretty slick and very well done. You can be proud of that one...
  11. There's a kit of Henry Ford, Barney Oldfield, and Harvey Firestone? I never knew that. I don't remember ever seeing a kit of 999 in 1/24-25 scale. There is a 1/43 scale diecast, and a really high-end Exoto 1/18 diecast, but neither one of those will work with your figures (I assume the figures are 1/25 scale?)
  12. Yes, a brass grab handle goes on the left side.
  13. Remember... don't post any hints or answers here! PM me with year, make, and model. The answer: 1927 Tatra T12
  14. Don't know who said the other quote, but right with ya on Churchill. One of the greats of the 20th century, no doubt. We could use a few more men like him today.
  15. Winston Churchill.
  16. "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."
  17. I replaced the molded-in hinge detail with a length of brass rod that I cut individual hinge leave detail into. Still working on adding the various details to the body and interior, but it's getting there. I did the steering wheel rim the same way I did the wheels... tan craft paint, then a dip into wood stain, Oops... I see I still have to paint the center nut on the steering wheel...
  18. The hood has a bunch of tabs and pins that aren't needed. I decided to trim them all off... The center hinge detail isn't very realistic, and for some reason doesn't extend to the ends of the hood! So again, I whipped out the trusty old razor saw and removed it...
  19. I'm sorry to hear about your health issues. I feel for you. I'm still dealing with my own problems, going on just about a year's worth now. I hope you get better soon (and stay better). Poor health is a real bummer.
  20. Nicely done, but I think she would look cooler with the mask.
  21. Did you pose that photo? I mean really... all the spray can labels facing the exact same way? Seriously... I've seen messier operating rooms! Like Steve, I won't show mine, because, well... it actually looks like I build models there!
  22. Nicely done! Very attractive model.
