  1. What a cool selection of models!
  2. I couldn't bear to watch more than the first few minutes... so how do they explain the fact that a ship will "sink" from view as it moves away from shore? What keeps all the oceans from spilling over the edges? What's on the opposite side of a flat Earth? What's holding the Earth level? How deep do you have to dig until you bore through a flat Earth? How do they explain eclipses? The fact that it gets lighter/darker at progressive times as you move across the country? How about the fact that you can sail between continents without getting to the "end of the Earth?" So many questions...
  3. Remember... don't post any hints or answers here! PM me (not Ken) with year, make, and model. The answer: 2015 Citroen C5
  4. He was a real character. An American treasure.
  5. The rust is a "work in progress." I still have to finesse it a bit...
  6. Also still adding layer upon layer of detail. And more to come!
  7. Here you can see the completed center roof support...
  8. The kit depicts a restored Garrett with all the bells and whistles, done up as a museum exhibit piece. I want to create a more "working class" tractor, so I'm deleting a lot of the bling included in the kit. For example, the roof is held up by these fancy spiraling plated brass posts, which will not do in my workhorse version... ...so I cut away the fancy swirly stuff and replaced it with plain styrene rod. The roof supports will all be painted flat black... I also used the kit pieces as templates to cut new roof crossmembers from real wood, because "nothing looks more like real wood than real wood."
  9. BTW... the 1/8 scale version is coming along. I don't have anything new to post at the moment, but expect to very soon.
  10. Regular old gloss black enamel. Nothing special. It's not so much what you use, but the trick is that the base coat has to be smooth and shiny.
  11. Weren't the kit bumpers plated to begin with?
  12. Very impressive, very nicely detailed. But what's up with the "not chrome" bumpers?
  13. Wow. Absolutely top-notch work. Doesn't get much better than that!
  14. What that really needs is some weathering.
  15. https://www.google.com/search?q=lamborghini+gallardo+chassis&biw=1348&bih=777&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAmoVChMIjcahpfaQyQIVzOsmCh2wDwCx
  16. I just downloaded one of the squeezed photos. It's 14 inches across! (14x9 @ 72 dpi). I don't think a photo that's 14 inches across is going to display correctly here. Just an FYI... I always size my photos to 9x6 and have no problem with them getting squeezed.
  17. Squeezed here too. I think the problem is that if you post photos that are bigger (I mean dimensionally bigger, not file size bigger) than a certain limit, this site will squeeze them into that pre-determined size limit.
  18. Looks like you also missed the windshield wipers!
  19. Joe, if she sees that post you're a dead man...
  20. Beautifully done. I love the weathering... realistic without being over-the-top "weathered." Fine work.
  21. I'm not sure I get the suitcase mounted at the front...
  22. That could have been built last week... I guess that would mean the '10s are wild times!
