  1. Nicely done except for the weird taillights...
  2. Guess your local PO doesn't care...
  3. A very clean and crisp model. Nice job.
  4. If I was in the financial position to actually consider buying a car in this price range, all you'd have to do is show me this photo and I'd whip out my checkbook!
  5. Joe... you shouldn't have to buy a replacement copy with your own money. You are a subscriber... you already paid for that issue. Call Golden Bell and tell them your copy arrived damaged. They will mail you a replacement copy. 877.463.3127 If they want proof, you can email them the photos you posted here.
  6. Yet for for some strange reason the only one that is consistently damaged.
  7. I like it a lot! Looks to be a pretty slick makeover of a Mustang. I especially like that rear end styling. Very nice.
  8. I have also gotten that "We Care" envelope from USPS in the past.
  9. Good man!
  10. Don't believe the nasty rumors... they're just friends...
  11. Trumpeter.
  12. Remember... don't post any hints or answers here! PM me (not Ken!) with year, make, and model. The answer: 1927-29 Volvo OV4
  13. I went to google, typed in "1940 Ford Chassis," and did an image search. I looked at the images and clicked on one that showed the chassis with the gas tank installed. It took less than 30 seconds.
  14. Either do I! But seeing as how I live in Cook County, Illinois... I do live in the "high tax" district!
  15. Looks good to me... Do the lights really work? It looks like they do in the photos.
  16. A couple of suggestions... Those wheels are just crying out for a black wash to make them look realistic and not no "model car." And your paint looks a bit "crinkly." Don't know if you have ever used a polishing kit, but you might want to check it out. They are basically a set of very fine grit cloths that you use in succession, from coarsest to finest, each successive cloth removing the scratches left by the previous one... and smoothing out the surface of the paint until you get a nice, smooth, glassy shine. Just a suggestion...
  17. I have too many leaves, too. That's why I use a landscaping company! They swoop in with their blowers and edgers and gigantic riding mowers and do in a half hour what would take me an entire Saturday to do. Well worth the cost, IMO. I don't even own a lawn mower anymore!
  18. Getting started on the main body. I got the decals in place... next step will be to black wash all of the molded-in details like the rivets, etc. Then an overall coat of flat clear, and some slight weathering like oil stains, rust streaks, etc. That's all to come...
  19. And this is the water tank, it mounts below the main boiler. The gold bolt heads were brush painted (they are molded in place), but the decorative stars are separate kit pieces...
