  1. Very creative body work and the paint work looks great. Nice interior modifications.
  2. Lot of great attention to detailing using paint.
  3. Like the way you finished the body and paint. Remember more than a few cars that this was considered finished. Nice detail adding all of the correct holes in the body for the chrome trim.
  4. Great looking paint finish and color. Clean looking body trim.
  5. Great looking Mustang. Like the wheel and tire upgrade.
  6. Beautiful looking paint finish. The two-tone paint looks great. Cleanly detailed interior and chrome trim.
  7. Great looking base model 150. Like the standard 6 cylinder and the subdued two-tone paint looks the part.
  8. There has been some discussion on the Forum about the Tamiya X-20A Thinner, so when I was at my regular hobby shop, I talked to one of the people there about it. Seems the A suffix means it is meant for Acrylic paints. The Tamiya X-20 is a Lacquer type thinner that can be used virtually across the board on any paint. I'll be using the rest of my X-20a thinner to clean my paint brushes only from now on.
  9. I have been the designated Dish Person forever. My wife doesn't know how to stack the dishes in the dish washer properly. Ya. I'm one of those types that likes things stacked so that the get cleaned, no spoons stacked on top of each other in the cutlery part and glasses properly secured so they don't fall over, and plates stacked so they don't bang against each other when you run the dish washer.
  10. Sorry if my information lead you astray. I have the Tamiya X-20A Thinner and is all I have used. Relooking at the Panel Line bottle I was able to read the label, under a very high powered lense, that Tamiya recommends their X-20, no suffix, for any clean up. The X20A Thinner lists N-Propanol and Butyl Alcohol as ingredients. Another Tamiya product to consider, and what I have used in the past, is their X-19 Smoke. They offer a spray can, but I use the small brush paint type bottle. This is somewhat thinner and works well for trim and chrome grills and is less expensive.
  11. But do you still have to do the dishes? I also enjoy a nice thick BBQ Steak, but I still have to do the dishes.
  12. Remember a comedy movie based on the title Whisky Tango Foxtrot.
  13. Beautiful looking color and paint finish. Like the interior detailing and the engine.
  14. Beautiful looking paint and color. The engine really makes this a hauler.
  15. Great looking color combination and stance.
  16. Beautiful looking color and finish. Building a model, especially this nice, just using bits and pieces from the parts boxes is fun. Very realistic looking body style and body finishes. Way back when I worked for a small Water Company where I was living, and the Ford trucks we used were this era and the same color scheme.
  17. Like the way you restored this little forty. The fender work does add to the character of the model.
  18. Great looking build and the slant six makes it interesting.

Beautiful looking build. Remember seeing a 1:1 like this on a TV show. Great looking details on the camper and the trailer both.
  20. Great looking build and color combination. I'm a bit of a Camaro fan and even wanted to buy one like this that was a couple of years old at the time. My insurance agent mentioned that the insurance payments would be more than my car payment, so it didn't happen.
  21. Great looking paint finish and color. Like the clean looking body trim and interior.
  22. Is the entire content dried out type chunky or just needs a lot of suturing chunky? I have had the pigment build up on the bottom if not used for any length of time. Usually, a few minutes of shaking will restore the desired consistency. Should the paint be like mud or worse consider a little Tamiya X-20A Thinner.
  23. I have mentioned this before, and I don't think it is just a local thing where I live. The "normal retail price" that Hobby Lobby puts on their kits is usually 10 % to 15% higher than the retail price at the dedicated Hobby Shop that I go too in my area. Locally the last time I checked HL wanted $39.99 MSRP for a current kit. I notice that they are asking $45.99 for the Olds kit in your picture. Even with their 40% off bi-weekly sale there are times when I buy a kit from the regular hobby shop for about the same price. Unfortunately, many builders here on the forum don't have a regular brick and mortar store nearby to shop at. I will still buy something from time to time at the HL, but it has to be something I just have to have and can't find anywhere else.
  24. Like the paint treatment, in keeping with the bubble roof and other custom body work.
