  1. I would agree with anyone who wants to have a dash camera in their car or truck. This is based on the way people seem to want to drive. The dash cam video would be handy in court to explain what the other driver was doing, if you should somehow survive what the other driver has done. My neighbor had a young lady decided she wanted to be in the same traffic lane as he was last winter in the middle of a snowstorm driving on a four-lane divided HI way. She managed to destroy the right front bumper, fender and headlights on the passenger side of his new truck and caused him to spin into the center divider trying to get out of her way. She just drove off and he was unable to get a license plate number. Dash camara might have made a good statement in court.
  2. Great looking paint and trim finishes. Very realistic looking work truck.
  3. Beautiful looking finishes. Enjoyed watching your build on this and hope to build one soon as well.

    48 Ford

Like the showroom style build. This is a great kit and the street rod version I built was almost the same shade of Maroon as this. Makes me want to build another.
  5. Great looking conversion. The '70 roof design flows better with the '67 body lines than the roof that Chevrolet used on their Caprice Hardtops of the era. While only a personal choice, I would have considered the larger '70's stock rear window. Did you add the lower body trim, that looks like a design que that should be used?
  6. Thinking that Jim is interested in the premiered sedan. The shape of the windows and the character line on the rear fenders remind me of some of the Chrysler products design ques of the time.
  7. Beautiful looking paint and trim. Realistic looking engine details.
  8. I agree with everyone else on the color combination. The paint finish and trim all look great. Like the engine detailing.

The front fenders can be a struggle, but they look perfect here. Great looking paint and engine detailing.

Great looking paint treatment and colors. Like the full fender look. The engine is a departure, but a cool one all the same.
  11. Like the look of the short bed. The original builder must have used Lacquer paint without any primer.
  12. There was a time, including 1964, when a vehicle that utilized a "B" Pillar would be considered a Sedan whether it had two or four doors. The same vehicle without a "B" Pillar would be referred to as a Hardtop. Now however it seems manufacturers are calling a vehicle with four doors and a "B" Pillar a Coupe. Can't help but wonder if they even know what they are selling sometimes.
  13. Great looking body and paint work. Very clean looking trim.
  14. Great looking paint finish. Very fitting interior.
  15. Great looking recreation of the movie car.
  16. Looks great. Consider sealing with a flat clear instead of gloss, that would be more natural looking.
  17. Followed your struggles with this kit and the basic kit you had to work with. The paint finish looks great, and the color looks good as well. The interior work looks very nice, and I like the way you flocked the trunk as well. The engine is well detailed. The body proportions from the kit maker are off and without a great deal of body work this still looks good in the way you built it.
  18. Beautiful looking paint work and like the different color.
  19. Beautiful looking paint color and finish.
  20. Beautiful looking Dodge. Nice looking body trim. Recall a classmate's father drove a red and black Dodge that was the same body style.
  21. Alway thought the roof lines on these GM cars looked good. However, they were dropped from production after a couple of years after the return to passenger car production after WW II. Ford offered what they called a Sport Roof on the '68 Fairlane model I think having to do with NASCAR body qualifications, but it didn't sell all that well.
  22. My favorite Home Depot store had a fire a few months ago and had to close for a complete remodel and restocking of inventory. Beautiful redo and really like the inside and inventory. My gripe is that everything is self-checkout. They have someone there to help if the register reader doesn't work or there is an issue with the transaction, but the personal interaction is gone. Seems sort of impersonal when you're spending your hard earned money.
  23. Sorry to hear about your fall. Get well soon. We don't seem to heal as well as we did years ago.
  24. Beautiful looking body work. Makes you wonder why Ford didn't think of that. Like the chassis work and the paint finish.
