Most people who have pets consider them as family and the Cat or Dog thinks of Humans as part of it's Pack. Always sad when we lose a pet, but when that pet was murdered it becomes very personal. Should you have any proof at all about what happened the Police can be a great aid to straighten things out. If this person has with out a doubt poisoned your Cat there are legal ways to handle such a person. I love Dog and I'm allergic to Cats, big time. Got a neighbor who's Cat thinks your flower beds are it's Litter Box, but I'm not going to kill it. He has two dogs of some hunting bread I'm not familiar with. The oldest Dog by one year is Mister Mellow. No barking and he likes to watch my in the yard and welcomes an Ear rub every now and then. When his younger brother is out the youngster sounds like a Tasmanian Devil growling all the time and roughing up the senior Dog. The owner will drag them apart sometimes but this Dog is always in full barking mode. We don't have fences but at my suggestion when the guy got the first Dog he put in one of the buried electric fences and that has work as advertised. When we go out on our deck in the back yard this fool Dog has a barking fit until the neighbor comes out and takes the Dog inside.

First let me congratulate you on your studies. My wife is a CPA and I had to tip toe around the house the last 3 years of her studies so I know what all you are facing. Getting the four parts of the exam is very difficult but getting them done as soon as posable while it is all fresh to you is best. Models will always be there when time permits.

Great looking "Garage Finds" . Their time in the box gives them the perfect look of some long ago forgotten Kustom. Very nice engine in the Maroon Merc.

Those are both great kits. I remember building them years ago.

I have two sets of brushes that I use depending on the brand of paint. This may be over kill but it's what I do. The MM brushes are rinsed first in water followed by a cleaning in MM Lacquer Thinner then allowed to dry. I do the same with the other set that I use for Tamiya paints with the same cleaning process but use Tamiya X-20A Thinner for the final cleaning. You had mentioned needing two coats of paint to get the finish you wanted. As others have stated the parts cover best when first primed. This will also help you see any casting lines or uneven surfaces from their removal from the parts tree.

Very nice looking Hot Rod. Would love to have a 1:1 of this. I noticed how sharp your two tone paint separation is especially the front edge near the grill.

Great looking build, you really captured the way these cars looked back in the day. I also like the cowl duct to the air cleaner. This was a part of the Z-11 option when Chevrolet started offering the 427 cu in W Motor and the Aluminum Fenders, Hood, And Bumpers as part of the package.

Looks great. The color is unusual but that is what makes it standout. The PE parts sure look better than the kit's decals.

Beautiful looking Caddy. Perfect color combination and the interior is very realistic looking. The only thing that catches my eye is the lack of vent windows but I like it as it is.

The belt was always at or above the navel at that time. I'm not a fan of this style but it does look better than seeing what type of under ware someone has on.

Don't want to get into any political battles here, I just want the molds in the US where they belong. My thought is that the quality could improve in the models we all want and build and all the "Made In" raised lettering will go away. Who knows maybe there might even be a few jobs created.

This will very depending on the type of paint and how much build up there is. I usually wait 48 hours. I know others who due it sooner and others still that will wait for a far longer time. This is why I play with plastic spoons. You can try different ways of painting without damaging a kit body. A tip if you aren't already aware. After taping and masking the object you're painting, give the edge of the tape a very light coat of the color that you are masking. Clear could also be used. Allow this to dry for a short time before moving on to the second color that you are spraying. This should block any paint "creeping" from getting under the masking and onto the masked surface. Before removing the masking run a #11 blade along the edge very lightly, sort of like cutting Bare Metal Foil. This should eliminate any paint lifting along the masking line.

I have used the "Purple Pond" method in the past with great results.

There are many ways to attack this problem. The Xacto blade is a good place to start if the pin mark is raised. Xacto offers a blade that is much like a wood carver's chisel. This will get the pin mark down very close requiring very little sanding. Excel Hobby Blades Corp. offers a sanding tool that is about the size and shape of a large writing pen. The tool is spring loaded internally and allows you to change sanding bands that are much like a belt around the exterior of the tool. This allows you to move the belt as the sanding belt gets loaded with material. The belts are offered in several different grits and have many uses for getting into tight body curves such as removing mold lines on the body and around headlamps. Tamiya offers what they call Tamiya Putty and this can be used to fill indentation type pin marks, there are several such products out there that will do the same thing, Tamiya products just happen to be what I'm most familiar with.

If you have two of the standard 5 gallon sizes from other kits, just glue them together. A little filler as needed and sanding you're ready to paint.

Thanks, I already snagged a couple there. These were added to the empteen others in my stash. Like I said I really like these kits for two reasons. One they remind me of a time in my life when they first came to market. Second, these were what everyone wanted to build into a Hot Rod in my age group. Thanks again for the heads up.

Great looking MoPars. I like them all. Just think, there was a time you could walk into a showroom and there would be such vehicles on display and a few more outside that you just buy and drive away.

Beautiful looking build, everything just flows together as if that was the way Plymouth built it in the first place. I like the Flam tread pattern on the tires.

For me it would have to be the AMT '40 Ford coupe and the '39/'40 Sedan that followed along with the Sedan Delivery.
