That would be cool if you restored it !
Mine didn't survive very long , it was probably my first attempt at spray painting a model and my photos were absolutely terrible !
The contest was by Car Model Magazine and yes I entered it ( I was 12 ) . It was won by Jim Keeler and his beautiful " Dodge Fever " !

Looks like a nice kit , I had the Cyclone Funny Car years ago with the same chassis . . . it builds up real nice ! I might pick this one up too !
I don't see the injector stacks in your photos , are they there ?
Thanks Robert for pointing this out , I'm a bit surprised the dual headlights haven't been mentioned more .
To avoid any comments when I post the finished build , I'll be calling it a '76 El Camino !
It's still a beautiful model , and the photography looks much better !
You can try it indoors using an inexpensive work light , the kind with a bare bulb and an aluminum reflector ( about $5 at Home Depot ) .
