This is the Cheetah I bought last week after seeing my friends yellow one , and boy is it nice ! This one has all of the racing goodies plus the blue line tires . I was able to compare it to my Cox Cheetah body and they are the exact same size and shape , but the Carrera body definitely has been reworked and is better detailed . The embarrassing thing is that I paid more for the Cox body ! I'm planning a build with opening front and a fully detailed engine , so now I have to decide which one to cut up . The Carrera looks great the way it is and came in a very nice display case to boot !

I'm going to display it for now , it's case is as nice as the car ! I have a Cox Cheetah that I'm going to build as a fully detailed model . FYI - There is a red one on the bay right now for a good price , but it looks to be missing the spare .

They are 1/24th Scale and I've seen them priced from $69 to $90 plus shipping on Ebay . There are two different styles , this yellow car is one style and the other has all of the vents in the hood and Blue-line tires . I just came across this one for $59 + $7 shipping . . . I just spent my pennies !

If you like Cheetahs you've probably seen these for sale and wondered if they are worth the price being asked for them . Well so did I until I was able to see one close up last week , and considering the prices of original Cox Cheetahs I would say these are definitely worth it ! I'm going to start saving my pennies ! Here are some photos I took so you can decide for yourself .

Thanks Niko , by the time I was done I had gotten the hang of it and won't be afraid to try it on another build ! For the trim around the windows and wheel arches I used .030" half round , but I think it's still a little too big . I'm going to sand the crown flat a bit and see if that helps . If they make .020" half round I'll try that next time ! Around the bed is .030" x .040" strip .
