Several (10) years ago the purchasing agent for Hobby Lobby changed. Since that happened, you no longer get a large variety or the 40% off weekly sales. The new person was not interested in models, so the selection declined. And for the longest they just kept ordering the same thing over and over and never updating the list as new things were released. About the last 2 years they have started to get better, but not the 2 isles, top to bottom like it used to be. And the prices also went up to MSRP.

Scale tarps and bungee cords
B-onefan replied to Chad's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
I have mixed a few drops of white glue into some warm water, soaked the tissue and draped over the load and let dry. It holds the shape you want. -
I hope there not secret, since I spent lots of hours in the sim flying one. And for several years took my students thru the phase dock, engine rebuild shop and test cell( they fired up a few engines for us), munitions loading area, and let them play with the proceedural simulator and the full motion simulator. They were and are a great community of guys(and gals) and would do anything to help the school and career classes out. I'm not sure about this airframe, but I heard of one that got "overstressed" and twisted the spine and vertical stab.

clear coat hardner gelling too soon
B-onefan replied to Sixx's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Most urethane hardners are designed to be used within 2 weeks after opening. They start reacting when opened and exposed to air and moisture. Very seldom does a paint shop have the hardner around that long. I used to show my students about closing the hardner good by taking a small amount of hardner only, no paint or clear, and adding 1-2 drops of water and checking it the next day. It also drove home the point about wearing eye protection of a full face mask when spraying, since the eyes are mostly water and attract the hardner. -
Question for the Mopar crew
B-onefan replied to imatt88's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
And if I remember, the T/A's were made to qualify the cars for the race series, as so many had to be made from the factory. Same with the AAR Cuda. -
I'll second that!!!

Thanks for providing the photos. I bought 2 of these kits and was a little concerned about the directions. I have not started the build yet, but think these photo's are going to be a great help. And a Big Thank You for doing the kit and continuing to add kits to the line up. I hope you continue and make many more to fill my workshop! Mike
