  1. BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH ! I really wanted to go but a newbe at work quit and I have to fill in. Not happy ! I hope all you guys have a great time. Catch you at the next show.
  2. This arrived today. Bought it on ebay. I never had seen one and always liked the P4 so I bought it. Turns out it is a very toy like model kit. I thought it may have been more detailed. I should have know when I saw it was motorized ( wind up motor ). It's an AHM kit . 1/25 scale from 1971. List price on the box says 2.49. Not sure what I will do with it. Pretty sure I will never build it.
  3. Finally wrapped this thing up today. Lindberg L 700 tilt cab. Went together pretty well but as we all know the door hinges can be a pain. I managed not to break them but the doors do not fit all that well. I think I could file off the topr of the door frames to get the doors to close better but that will be another day. The instructions in the kit are also not the best. Here is what was done. Body was smoothed a bit. Added on the roof spoiler. I filled the wiper holes. Used Duplicolor yellow paint. The tires and wheels are from a GMP 1/18 scale die cast. The suspension was lowered. Rear bumper with lights was made. The bed is made with balsa wood only because I could not locate any basswood. I hate balsa wood. thats about it. Comments both good or bad are always welcome.
  4. Next on the bench. Opel GT. Built one many years ago. It's a rather simple kit but it is good to have it back. Plans are to build it gasser style.
  5. Thats a good question. I guess we have to imagine a long ramp to drive it up and down. I just got the new release of the Opel GT and think that may go on the flatbed. Same problem getting it up there. : ) BTW the build id done and I will post photos in the 'Under Glass" section later.
  6. You best be careful, the wife may get to thinking you don't need her. You don't want that !!!
  7. Truthfully your photos aren't bad at all. I can't talk because mine are not any better.
  8. Looks pretty good.

  12. Ha ha . Whats up with the crummy photos ? : ) Did you have a fight with the wife ? You best get her a box of candy. Stick with the builds and leave the photos to the Misses. BTW the car looks great !
  13. I think I have seen some firearms and such on ebay under the model automotive diorama section.
  14. Cool build Jim. Back in the day my mom had a Cutlass very much like that.
  15. Lindberg 1/8 competion coupe dragster. Sorry no pic.
  16. Nice build !
  17. If you want to build a 289 version the AMT is what you want. The newest one the " King Cobra" has some nice upgraded parts. If you want a 427 version the Monogram is the way to go. These would be you cheapest versions and are easy to find. The 289 kit has an opening truck the 427 does not. I have plenty of both and have built several and I think the Monogram is eaiser to build. Also the AMT kit is 1/25 and the 427 is 1/24 scale. If you want a nice kit and don't care about scale I would find the 1/16 scale Cobra. It was issued 3 times. MPC, AMT and ESCI. They are all the same kit and can be found on ebay. I am looking forward to your build. Good luck.
  18. I hope he is Ok. He just kind of vanished. I like the new avatar better. Harry Morgan. Are you going to go through the Harry men. I think it was "Dirty Harry " then" Harry Houdini" and now " Harry Morgan " who's next ? : )
  19. Thanks David. I hope to finish it in the next few days.
  20. Always nice to see another Cobra. I built the same kit and the same box art picture replica. Nice work !
