  2. Very Good looking Dio.

You did a Fantistic Job with this Set up, that type of Station was close to what we had around back in the 1940's as well.

Grateful to you for sharing with us!!

  3. post-9190-0-49286200-1326763882_thumb.jpI just joined this forum today, my name is Mike, and I'm from Saint John, Indiana, I'm a young 73 year youngster who Loves the world of Minature, I started building Models back in the Stone Age, all we had was Wood, until the late Forties, that's when I saw my First Plastic Air Plane.

I've built so many Models in my day,and never once have I ever stopped not likeing Models Cars Trucks Planes Ships, now I'm here in this New Era, Photo Etch, Resin, Wires, Soft Rubber Tires, and Paint of every kind, Wow!!!

I don't build to much now as I have lost the use of my right hand, which of course I'm right handed, so if you all don't mind this guy hanging out here, I'd be forever Grateful, and I'll praise all of your Workmanship!

    Thanks again !!

  4. Once again the Garage is coming back to life, I was thinking that if you didn't want to reconstruct it, you could have burnt some boards to make it look like a burned out garage, but I'm so glad that your doing it again, I know that it's going to be even more nicer then before.

Thanks for the pleasure that you give to me.

    Mike A.

  5. We all know that you'll fix it up better then before, it's in your Blood to do so!

The way it looked before, with all the wreckage laying around,it didn't look very promising at that point.

Well Danny, you have your work cut for you!

    best of Luck my Friend.

  7. I too am in Total Shock!!!! I would have never thought that you were telling me the Truth when we talked on the Phone, had you not told me to go to my Computer, and for sure, there it was, a Disaster!!!! My Heart sank into my stomache, I just looked again before I started to write this, I know like you, myself and others will have to look many times to make sure that it wasn't April 1st all over again.

I know that there aren't any words, to make you feel better, a years worth of work, almost completely ruined, ###### !!!!

I wish that there was something that I could do to help you reconstruct this piece!

But I know that I'll be there for you, to Cheer You On once again,as will others here on the Forum!

Next time have your Vendor Card Out in Front!

  8. You have to go to Danny's Site scenesunltd.com and look at the products that he makes for the older Car's, he is truly a Artist, as everything that your looking at on the Diorama, is mostly all made by him.

    including well Everything!!

But through out this whole site are such great people, and wonderful artist's in their own zone, it's really hard to beliieve that they aren't in a Museum some place.

    rctrucker!

  9. Truly a Awesome Job, I myself can't wait to see what else that you have stored up in the very creative mind, just Super so far.

You know that I love it.

Will Get your box out to you soon.

    Mike A.

  10. Walking my dog today, we walked past several Pressure Treated Fences, and your Flooring looks like the same Color, now the underside is Awesome as well!!

You'll have a lot of people talking about Diorama as well your other Products that you make!

The best of luck at that Show!

    Mike A.

  11. Tony, I can remember a Ice House back when I was a Youngster, the Flooring was on a Angle, that was in South Chicago Ill. and the Stories from all the older folks was that it was made that way because it added strenght to the building and it let the build sway with high winds, as things weren't built up in most areas, and with nothing blocking the wind, anyways in the Midwest, they did things different, I sure that there were many different ways to do things, but I worked in a place called Richies Box Factory and those Floors were also on a Angle, and I remember how smooth they were, from years of wear!

I'll have my Grand Daughter, she's a Structional Engineer at the University of Illinois!see if she has any information.

Well anyway's the Floor looks awesome, and the finish looks great, after 600 boards I say leave it, Tony make believe that it looks striaght.

Myself I'm having a hard time waiting to see what cme next! how about a Steel Staircase going to the second floor!

    Mike

  12. Danny, it keeps getting better each time that you do something to it,My Dear Father told me about 100 years ago, that floors were made that way to make them Stronger, and the taller building would sway in high winds, a old story, never knew if it was true, but he was a Blacksmith, and worked for a Railroad EJ& something.

Back to you Dio, I'm going to have to go to your place and get a first hand look for myself!

Everytime I come to this Forum, I find so many wonderful enteries, on all sorts of wonderful Cars Trucks Dio's etc, I'm in awl of all of you great builders, and your Talent, of which I could never in my day come close to any of you, but I could Paint some really Awesome 1/10 Scale R/C Trucks, I painted every Big Foot Truck that ran for Chandler, for his Sponsered Driver Tim Powell out of Landcaster Ohio.

The best to you all, and Danny, I remembered what we were talking about, and it was the rear axels.

Keep me posted, and good luck at the Shows!
