Doc: Thanks for the info I will check out all of those. I dont really have a set style of modeling I want but I am more of a Shiny type of person. Willing to give it all a shot tho and I am sure any info I can get will be helpful anyways.
Mike : I want to get Donn's DVDs and will look into Bob Downies books as well. Thanks
Doc I have been watching your Airbrush basics videos and they are awesome. Thank you for the vids as they are insanely helpful. Will be watching them all and then some. BTW, I have a Badger 200 right now do you think that will be ok for now?
Well the last time I put any kits together was about 15 years ago when I was 14. Back then I didnt care about making everything look so clean so I would just grab some of my favroite muscle cars and slap them together just like the instructions said. I had no idea about all the work i could have doen to make them look so clean ( ie seamlines and vehicle stance ). Seeing the work that everyone on this forum has inspired me to get back into the hobby and build them like they should be built. I am not looking for full out customizing right now but the small things that make the OOB cars just look so clean. I was wondering what books and/or videos out there the community recommends for me getting into the hobby properly. Any and all info will be greatly appreciated. BTW thanks everyone so far for the info given on the other topics I had going.
I was wondering where most of you guys get your engines if you are not using the engine from the kit you are working with? DO you get them from other kits or can you buy engines for 1/25 cars? Thanks in advance for any and all info
The more I look at this forum the more I want to get away from doing the 66-72 Muscle Cars LOL. I love that era for almost all manufactors but this car is awesome . Cant wait to see more
Thanks Doc. Donn those paints are immaculate. All of these cars on this forum have made me get the ole AirBrush and knives back out and get back into the hobby.
Really liking both trucks man. Great job on both of them. Really like the Stepside because my Dad had a 72 Chevy Stepside when I was younger so has always been a favorite of mine
