  1. Cheers 62rebel, yes it's not too bad. The plastic is pretty soft and the instructions are not quite straightforward. I would have fitted the doors better if I'd had test fitted them before putting the wings (fenders) on.

The glass in the front doors slides up and down nicely.

  2. OK Michael I'll continue to watch your build with great interest! I've got the Toyota 86 with all the bits plus two extra packs of wide arches (fenders) coming from HLJ. Hopefully I can fit the extra arches to a few Porsche 911's I have on the shelf!

  3. Now this looks evil....................and fun in the same breath! Interesting thing is I've just bought a few Brass/PE Kirkey seats from DirtModeler, which I understand are used in this type of vehicle! I shall definitely be watching this thread to the end!

  4. I've just ordered the Toyota 86 Greddy & Rocket Bunny Enkai Version which includes these, also ordered two sets (in 2 packs) of just the wheel arches from HobbyLinkJapan.

I remember using something similar years ago.

The thing to take into consideration is that time must be taken to 'form' the wings/fenders to fit the body shape exactly before gluing into place, and of course cutting the right amout out of the wheel arch beforehand. Sorry if that sounds childish to mention it that way but there is no offence intended.

  5. Thanks John. I liked the mesh PE sections, shaping them around the back has to be right so takes a little while.

The wing uprights are folded then CA glued into the slots provided, once set drop the wing on and CA again and once they are set pop on the end plates. I didn't paint the PE like some do because it looks the part.
