  1. Thanks for the kind words ....

There is the final update and completed project -

So the final piece I incorporated a roundel that I had previously done on Autodesk Sketchbook - the idea being to combine traditional art with digital art. The roundel was digitally placed onto the Hotrod and I found some vintage looking newspaper on the web for the background.

  3. So here is a project that I'm working on its Mike Partyka's Rat Rod - I chose this particular rat rod as I thought trying my had at drawing rust would be fun and challenging -

So far the rust is looking pretty good - here is a question - its getting a rusted look on a model challenging ? With colour pencils its a definate learning process, starting with the light browns and oranges and going darker where needed. But I'm happy - below are the rust details

  4. Here are some Tank drawings I did -

I first did the Matilda drawing and it was a great lesson in drawing dust and desert, I was trying to achieve an action scene - which I think I did achieve. The sequel is the Tiger 131 - the lessons I learnt with the Matilda drawing show as the Tiger is a better looking drawing in my opinion. I was also trying to get the effect that may modellers would recognise from the Airfix box art - done by the famous Roy Cross

Both drawings are done with colour pencils and markers -

  5. Thanks John, that '73 PL620 looks like a nice pickup, and I reckon it looks pretty cool redone. A friend of mine did a Nissan Z 240 with a Zero theme - and as I'm into hot rods and trucks I thought the theme would work well on the Datsun. And Harry P. - yes all colored pencil.

  6. That model Jag did look good, here is another that I did - done before the ''Pride of Britain'', and thats where I got the wheel idea from. This drawing below is a Datsun Pickup with a japanese Zero theme to it.

  7. Its been a while since I have posted some artwork, so after much drawing here is one I did a couple of months ago for a friendly competition. The theme of the particular round was set around the rims, and so I ran with a previous idea of propellor themed rims. That lead to '' Pride of Britian'' - an E type Jaguar with a heavy Supermarine theme to it. I was very happy with the result and thought that this could make for a pretty cool build.
