Thanks. I have a question. What would be a good mock up glue to use so I can take apart to paint? Thanks to this site I am learning a lot of modding tricks and stuff.
Thanks guys. I haven't really worked on the trunk other than cutting it out and making the hinges. But definitely need to thin the edges of the trunk. Thanks for the feed back.
Here is a 57 Chevy bel air that I'm doing a door and trunk mod on. I have one door almost completed. This is my first trunk and door mod. It's coming out pretty good so far. I think! Thanks for looking.
Thanks guys. for the hood issue. The air cleaner is hitting the bottom of the hood just a bit. i need to trim down the bottom of the air cleaner. but doenst really bother me because i display it with the hood open. BUT good eye!
I painted this with synergy green. It DuPont paint that is a 2 stage paint. You can get it from a automotive paint store. Some places will not sell it in small amounts. But I is a nice color . I get it from work. Just mix it my self
Thanks everyone for the feed back. Its very encouraging. As this is only my 4th build I have done in 24 years. My first moded build.
The color is G.M. fusion orange effect and urathane clear (both from Dupont). I used the kit glass and evercoat lightweight body filler to fill in the rear window conversion. The windshield was too small and needed something to fill the gap. I found an old set of ear bud headphones, and pulled the wires out. Then with an sharp exacto knife split it down one side and wrapped it around the glass. Then glued in place. It worked very well.
Thanks again for looking
